The earlier the master could recover, the sooner the three castellans could leave the city.

So, the three castellans were all looking forward to the success of the Sacrifice Array.

Tyson waved his hand to signal the disciples and ordered, “Bring all the prisoners to the Illusory Palace as soon as possible.”

They slowly pushed the two palace gates which were dozens of meters high covered with big copper nails as big as bowls open. The three castellans took the lead and walked in, followed by the disciples and all the others.

When they walked in, everyone was astonished by the resplendent scene. The inner parts of the palace were made of greenish-blue colored jade objects, shining with a green light.

The palace looked magnificent at first glance as it consisted of numerous alleys, hallway, and buildings. What was more, the huge area of the palace was dotted by gallant pavilions and fine-built houses. Beautiful ponds and numerous small waterfalls hung on artificial hills like long pieces of cloth. Even, a swath of land was solely used to plant all kinds of elixirs.

Yellow glazed tiles paved the surfaces of the elaborate buildings on the roof, with blue and white stone base, decorated with brilliant majestic paintings.

Shortly after entering the Illusory Palace, sudden dizziness overcame everyone, blurring their vision. When they recovered consciousness, the scene before them had totally changed. Everything they had seen before had disappeared and instead it was something completely different.

Looking at all the buildings, they were made up of high-quality countless vital energy crystals including ordinary vital energy crystals, superior vital energy crystal, and even sacred vital energy crystal. All these crystals emitted a fascinating seven-colored luster which dazzled everyone on the scene.

It was the first time that they had seen so many high-quality vital energy crystals and in such astronomical figures. Hearts thumping, faces turning red, no one could keep calm. Some cultivators including the City Guardians and servants had greedy expressions upon seeing the treasure and could hardly resist the desire to dash forward and snatch them.

In addition to crystals, all kinds of valuable spiritual weapons and elixirs were stacked high up at the palace, while some rare treasures were scattered at the corner.

Besides, many girls suddenly appeared outside the palace at this moment. They were all wearing a piece of thin silk veil. All of them had a slim figure, curvy frame and graceful stature. They were extremely beautiful, as pretty as flowers and as slender as willow. Their nearly naked bodies were an irresistible temptation for any man. Every man who laid his eyes on the beauties would undoubtedly want to take possession of their body immediately!

“What you see are just illusions. Defend your Soul Sea, keep your mind sober, and follow my instructions.”

Tyson had been to the Illusory Palace many times, so he knew that there were many arrays which consisted of illusory images. All of these arrays comprised of a huge wonderland which was a mirage. The slightest bit of inattention or lack of control would easily cause one to lose their mind or indulge in the endless illusion never to come back to reality.

Every time the three castellans got ready to go inside the Illusory Palace, they had to keep cautious in case they got obsessed by the illusory arrays.

After Tyson gave them a warning, all on the scene collected themselves together. They immediately came to their senses and started to gather their vital energy to defend their Soul Seas.

After a while, under the leadership of the castellans, all the men came to a huge sacrificial altar which occupied a huge area. On the altar, there stood hundreds of tall stone purple columns which were carved with mysterious symbols, spells and designs of all kinds of demons. Everyone’s heart beat faster at the sight of the demons which had cruel and ferocious faces which were very vivid and made them seem real.

Under the order of the three castellans, all the prisoners were placed on the altar and tied to the columns.

“Now!”

Tyson snapped, when all the prisoners were tied up.

Hearing Tyson’s order, the fifty City Guardians launched violent attacks on the prisoners. Even the castllans joined the slaughter themselves.

Although the servants were more than one hundred, the cultivation base of most of them was at or below the primary and middle stage of Imperial Realm. Under the fierce attacks launched by the three castellans and the City Guardians simultaneously, these servants didn’t even have time to respond, much less to counterattack. So, they all got severely hurt.

“My castellans, how can you treat us like this? Did we make some mistakes that annoyed you?

Castellans, please spare us, we don’t want to die!”

The poor servants didn’t understand why they were getting such severe punishment, and so begged for mercy as they were being attacked.
However, the three castellans and fifty City Guardians were not listening. Their indifferent expression showed that they didn’t care whether they died or lived. A moment later, with no precaution, they were subdued and bound tightly to the columns; they had no choice but to let fate decide what would happen next.

“Damn it, the Sacrifice Array was ready. The sacrificial offerings were none other than us!” At the thought of this, all servants begged the three castellans for mercy. “My three castellans, please spare our lives for the sake of our loyalty over the years!

We don’t want to die here.”

These servants didn’t realize what would happen until they found themselves tied on purple columns. In the face of impending death, everyone desperately cried for mercy.

“We have got everything prepared.” Jake who had a hook-like eagle-nose sent his inner thoughts to Jim through his spiritual sense.

“Good, I will wait for one more person. You three keep guard of the sacrificial altar.

Half an hour later, we will start the Sacrifice Array,” said Jim.

“Wait for another person?

Master, who are you waiting for?”

Hearing his master’s words, Jake felt puzzled.
Meanwhile, in another street, Austin was interrogating a seriously wounded City Guardian.

The wounded guardian was the only survivor among the three City Guardians. Austin killed the other two. The reason why Austin didn’t kill this one was because he wanted to gather more information about the city from the guard.

However, after interrogating the City Guardian, Austin didn’t gather any useful information from him.
