BURNING AFFECTION - EPISODE 36 AND 37

Kimora’s head hurts like there’s a burning furnace on it, she coughed and continued spitting blood

The ground is full of her blood right now and the flowers started burning but as hard as her blood is burning the flowers, the garden kept getting bigger and bigger

Right now she’s sure she has lost half of the blood in her system

She closed her eyes and saw a vision about Jimin in the rain, laying on the ground and getting drenched by the rain, his whole body is burning up already

She quickly opened her eyes and fell on the ground completely

“No… I need to save him, I must save him, I need to save him…..” She started chanting that for minutes then Mazu appeared in front of her

She can hear his mocking laughter immediately he landed, it’s loud and derisive

“Your lover is suffering, you’re in pains too, don’t you think it’s time to give up?” He said

“I….i wasn’t born to … To give up ..I was born to be strong and agile” she replied weakly, releasing tears from her eyes

“Then show me your agility when you can’t even stand” Mazu replied mockingly

” You won’t have the last laugh” Kimora replied, blood gushed out of her nose again

” Look who’s talking, you have just a pinch of blood left on your body and it’s time for you to die” Mazu replied and bent beside her, he tried to grab her neck and take in her remaining energy but a bright light suddenly appeared, stopping him

He slowly stood, looking at the direction of the light as it came closer and closer

“I knew it, you’ll come out of your hiding place” Mazu said

Petal appeared and batted her eyelids before looking at Mazu

” What order do you have to come back to earth and cause havoc” she said

” I’ve just started, and when I’m done, you’ll be gone cos I’ll kill you with my hands” Mazu replied

” You were exiled to darkness, why didn’t you just stay there, why disobey the orders of the heavens!” She said loudly

” Scared for your cursed daughter?, I’ll kill her and her foolish lover first before coming back to you” Mazu said and tried grabbing Kimora again but Petal hit him with a white fan, he landed faraway from them and Petal quickly pulled Kimora up

“Breath in” she said and Kimora obeyed, she breath in and all her blood on the ground and the one that has sunk already came out magically, she sniffed it in through her nose and Petal kissed her forehead before wiping her tears

“I finally got to see you…. lioness was right, we look so much alike” Kimora said

” Go do your job, use your blood” Petal said and Kimora vanished, she appeared back in the shrine and rushed out into the rain..

“Are you boasting of your powers now?” Mazu said, coming closer to Petal

” Stay away from her, face me instead” she replied

“You can’t teach me what I’ll do” Mazu replied

” I’m out of hiding, you can’t hurt her anymore, and taking the Jade of light necklace from her will only make your death fast, you won’t last and this time you won’t be exiled, you’ll be sealed and buried forever” she said and vanished

Mazu brought out the necklace and looked at it. “Are you trying to trick me into returning it?, I’m not easy, now that you’re out, we start the game of death till I wipe out every single soul in Miryang” he said, shouting afterwards.

Cory can’t contain his shock when he saw Jimin lying in the rain and what the rainwater has done to his body

He’d have came with him but Jimin insisted that he shouldn’t and now this happened

He quickly carried him in his arms and started running to the nearest house then Kimora appeared though Cory didn’t see her, she stayed in a corner

She created a magical cover which stopped the rain from falling on Jimin, Cory was shocked but he kept moving till he got to the house

He knocked and a man opened the door, it turned out to be the man Jimin stopped Riya from killing the other time, the farmer

“What happened to his highness!” He said quickly when he saw Jimin in Cory’s arms with his disfigured body

“Can we stay here for the meantime?” Cory asked

“Of course, why not” the man replied, opening the door more widely for them

Cory went in and Jimin’s wet clothes were taken off from his body

His whole body has been badly burnt from the rain and his face too, the mask he was wearing stopped the rainwater from touching some parts of his face and that’s why he’s still recognizable

“Why is his body like this?” The man asked with concern

“You’ll know about it later” Cory replied and Kimora came in in her human form

“Lady Kimora” Cory said surprisingly

She walked to him and knelt beside Jimin

“He’ll be fine” she said

“How?, How did you know I’m here?” He asked

Instead of answering, Kimora faced the man

” Ahjussi, can you give me a knife?”

“Knife?…oh…ok” he replied and left the room

” What are you gonna do?” Cory asked

“Calm down Cory, he’ll be ok” she replied

The man came back with a knife which he handed to Kimora

Kimora cut her palm with the knife and blood came out of it

“What are you doing!” Cory said loudly

“Why did you cut yourself?” The man said shockingly

Kimora dropped the blood on Jimin’s forehead and waited for results

Soon after, new skin covered his skin and his burns disappeared immediately, his body came back to normal and the blood wiped off from his head

“Lady Kim” Cory said shockingly

“What just happened” the man said

“I’m sorry if I’ve shocked you both but…. this is just one of my methods” she replied

” What kind of method involves healing with blood” Cory said

“I’ll explain later” she replied and Jimin coughed immediately

” Your highness!” The man said

“Your highness” Cory called

“Jimin are you awake?, Jim” Kimora called

” Jimin?, Who’s she?” The man wondered, surprised that she called him by his name

Jimin opened his eyes slowly and and saw Cory first

“Idiot, I told you not to follow me” he said slowly

“If I hadn’t,who knows what would have happened” he replied and Jimin’s expression changed, he spranged up and checked out his body

“I’m certain that I got drenched by the rainwater, how come my skin is ok” he said shockingly

” Lady Kimora” Cory replied, gesturing at her

Jimin looked her way and surprisingly it’s her

“Kitten” he said

“You’re ok right?” She said

Jimin drew closer to her and pulled her to himself in a tight hug

” I thought something bad will happen to you, I was so scared when I kept getting the intuition that something bad will happen” he said, rubbing her hair

” I’m ok , clear all worries Jim, I’m fine” she replied

“She hurt herself to heal you” Cory said and Jimin quickly broke the hug then he saw her palm

He took it and opened it, the wound is not very deep, it’s still bleeding slightly but still it breaks Jimin’s heart

“Why?” He asked

“I had to use my blood but it’s nothing, I don’t feel any pain, if I apply my herbs when I get home, it’ll close up before tommorow” she replied confidently with an assuring smile

Jimin held her face and kissed her lightly, she blushed slightly

“I love you” he said

“I love you Jim, prince of my heart” she chuckled as he hugged her

” Promise me you won’t get hurt cos of me again” he said

“I promise” she replied though she knows that’s unavoidable

“I’m jealous” Cory muttered

The man smiled at the cuteness, now understanding why she addressed him as Jimin

Jimin broke the hug and faced him

“I know you” he said

“Yes your highness, I’m the one you saved from Riya Park the other day, you send me food and even gave me money, I’m still very grateful till today, your benevolence helped a lot” he replied , bowing respectfully

” What’s your name?” Jimin asked

“Hong” he replied

” Hong, thanks for accommodating me, I’ll repay your kindness” Jimin said

” No need your highness, you’ve done so much” he replied

” I wish Miryang can be full of people like you, it’d be so peaceful” Jimin said

“We need to go now” Cory said

” I can’t possibly go in my wet clothes” Jimin said

“I’ll be right back” Hong said and stood, he walked to his bed and opened a clothing drawer, he brought out a robe coloured white and cool blue with flowers stripes allover

“You can put this on, I actually got it for my son but he’s not in Miryang presently” he said

” It’s an expensive robe, why are you giving this to me” Jimin replied

” Yes it’s expensive, only for the nobles, I bought it with my savings for a year but it won’t hurt to give it to you, you’re like a son to me and my savior” he replied

” Your son…. where’s he?” Jimin asked

” I dunno, he was given birth to on a stormy day, the storm brought down our house and killed my wife, I raised the child by myself till he turned six, he suddenly went lost when I went farming one day, since them I’ve never seen him but I believe he’s not dead, my Jin Hong will come back to me I believe” he said, smiling as he narrated the story

It’s obvious he’s full of hopes that the child will come back someday

“If that’s true, then I shouldn’t take this robe” Jimin said

“You should take it, I’ll just get another one” Hong replied

Jimin took the robe slowly and Cory dressed him up

“Servants will come here tommorow morning from the palace, do whatever they ask of you” Jimin said

” Yes your highness” Hong bowed and they left

“What do you plan on doing?” Kimora asked

” Send him three bags of silver, he deserves to be a noble” Jimin replied and Kimora smiled

They climbed the horse and Cory promised to meet them in the palace so Jimin used his mask and left with Kimora on the horse

“I saw Petal finally” Kimora said during the journey.

“Really?” Jimin replied, stopping the horse

“Yes, she’s so beautiful, pink eyes like me, white hair, pure white robe and nails, she’s really related to me, star king called me her daughter” she said

” What!, She’s….your mother?”

“I’m not sure yet, I just heard” she replied

” I think you’ll understand soon” Jimin said and the horse moved.

Palace**

“What!” King Jung said shockingly, hitting his palms on the table when he heard about the murders in town

It’s not even dark yet and the non-human is working already

“The shaman was found asleep in her shrine, it seems she won’t wake up soon” the guards reported again

“Why Is all these happening?” King Jung thought

Cory came in and the guards excused them

” Your majesty” he bowed

“Speak”

“Queen Rachel sent a secret letter with the pigeon, I don’t know where she sent it to yet” he reported

” Trace it, tell me everything” Jung replied and Cory bowed before leaving

” Rachel, what are you hiding” King Jung thought

Two days later**

Apart from the killings in the town two days ago and the attack in the palace, no attacks again and it’s suspicious, maybe something big might be coming, the wedding is two days to come and preparations has started in earnest already

Riya Park will arrive on the day of the wedding

Kimora joined the other maids in preparing the decorations in sadness, her lover is getting married and she’s one of the maids preparing, it’s crazy

She hurt herself countless times with the needle she’s stitching the decorations with, Tania noticed and just stared, wondering if her suspicions is true

Petal hasn’t appeared or spoke to her since she saved her and it’s even more weird that star king is not making any move

She heaved heavily and Tania made to talk but a servant appeared

“Master Janis asks to see you” the servant said

“It’s been long since I saw him” Kimora said, standing up and leaving with the servant

Cory appeared immediately and sat beside her

“Hey you’re not a maid” Tania said

“I want to take a rest here, any problem with that?, He replied, resting back on the chair

“I feel weird whenever you’re around” she replied, concentrating on the stitching

” Why?, Don’t you think the problem is you?” He replied

” Psst…I hate egoistic guys” she replied

“I hate uptight girls” he said..

“I heard the two princess of Miryang are in love with you, you’re so lucky, so who are you choosing” Tania said and Cory stood.

” You ruined my mood” he said and left immediately

Tania laughed loudly the other maids swooned around her

“What did he tell you?”.

“What were you two talking about?”

“Tell us”

They almost suffocated her with questions and she had to rush out of the place

“Are they all crushing on him?, Strange, he must have been cursed with girls” Tania thought.

Miryang town**

“Ginelle!” Brayden called after her as she walked down the marketplace after buying some foodstuffs

She kept going without glancing back cos she knows who it is already

She misses him but she’s not ready to face him, she might just hug him and not want to let him go

She increased her pace and he ran to stay in front of her, breathing heavily

“Why are you avoiding me” he said, there’s something like hurt in his voice

” Just let’s avoid each other” she replied

“And why will I avoid you when I’m not a killer!, I can’t even sleep at nights anymore because…” He said, stopping there.

She avoided his eyes like it’s a taboo to look into it

“Ginelle stop doing this, I’ve got used to you so much that I…

” Brayden!” She yelled harshly

“Ginelle” he said

” Forget about ever meeting me” she said coldly

“Why?”

“I’m not a girl you can get associated with don’t you get it!”

” But I want to stay” he replied

” I’m not that type of girl ok?, And in fact, I hate you most in this world, I hate you!!!!” She screamed

” Really?” He said

She can see his hand dropping and she wished to strangle herself that moment

Right now she feels like hugging him tight, having his head on her laps again and watch him sleep peacefully but….she just said something else just to make him leave

“Yes I hate you….so don’t ever bother me anymore” she replied and rushed out of the place, leaving him standing

Her tears poured and she covered her mouth as she cried on her way home.

Palace**

Kimora got to the back of the kitchen and met Janis waiting

“Hey!” She waved, going to him

“Glad to see you again” he replied

“Me too, it’s been a while” she replied

“We can watch the stars together tonight right?, I missed doing that with you” he said and she hesitated, not knowing what to say

” Oh I forgot , I’m sorry for asking that” he said

“How have you been?” She asked

” I’ve not been fine, but nothing can be done” he replied

She knows what he’s talking about and she started feeling uncomfortable

Janis shifted uncomfortably on his spot, he thought avoiding her for days will make him forget his feelings but he was wrong

Right now his heart is beating fast again, seeing her in front of him

“You look more beautiful” he said

“Thanks….I should go back right now, I’ll see you later” she said

Janis never replied, he just watched her leaving and before he could stop himself, he did something silly

He walked to her and pulled her back to himself, their lips met and he held her face, pressing his lips more hardly on hers

Kimora wasn’t expecting the move so she was shocked, her eyes widened and her head couldn’t process what’s happening. …

“Kimora” Jimin’s voice said behind them ..

Kimora came back to her senses and pushed Janis away from herself then faced Jimin who’s looking at them angrily

“Jimin… ” she said in a whisper, feeling like she lost her voice

Jimin walked furiously to Janis and punched him on the face, so hard that Janis fell…

Jimin sat on top of him and continued punching him angrily, making him bleed from the mouth and wounding his face

“Why will you kiss her lips you fool!, Who gave you the permission bastard!” Jimin yelled, still punching

Janis face is covered with blood already but is seems Jimin isn’t stopping anytime soon, he raised his fist to punch again..

” Stop!’ Kimora said loudly, crying already

” Please…. don’t kill him” she said slowly

Jimin stood from Janis and faced her…

“I’m sorry….” She said gently

Jimin swallowed hard, unsure of what to say, he walked past her and left the place.

Kimora covered her mouth, letting out more tears from her eyes…
