BURNING AFFECTION - EPISODE 30 AND 31

Everyone gasped and held their breaths at the shocking scene in front of them, princess Suzy just got stabbed

Rachel and Cal stood in shock too, unable to get what really happened

Sera ran down the lawn to where Suzy is standing, she’s going down already and she fell before Sera could get to her

“Suzy!” Sera screamed again, going on her knees and tilting her up, taking her face in her palms..

“Suzy hold on, you’ll be fine ok?” She said slowly and Suzy smiled hurtfully, her smile shows how much pain she’s in

“M…mo… mother” she stuttered, holding Sera’s hand to her face, her hand is shaking badly.

“Daughter you’ll be ok, trust me and just hold on a little bit” Sera said

” It hurts a lot….a whole lot…” She said, releasing tears from her eyes before losing consciousness

Her wound is bleeding heavily already…

A bed carriage was brought and she was placed on it then taken in straight

The sound of sword was suddenly heard and Sera looked back to see Cal with a sword, he beheaded the executor already..

“Take Cory back to the prison” he ordered and Cory was taken away

Sera walked up to Cal and glared hard at him

“If anything happens to my Suzy trust me you’re dead!” She said, raising a finger to his face

Cal kept quiet as Sera walked up to Rachel too

“You’ve gotten what you wanted sure?” She said

“It was a mistake so stop trying to pile the blames on me” Rachel replied

” It won’t be funny if anything happens to my daughter… Rachel, your dirty secret will be out!” She said and stormed out of the place

Rachel held the tip of her robe tightly. “She’s…. she’s aware?” She muttered fearfully.

King’s chamber**

” Are you planning to take over the governing of Miryang from me already?” King Jung said to Rachel who’s bowing in front of him

He has heard of the matter already

“I’m sorry your majesty, I just couldn’t stand seeing a guard touch my daughter” she replied

” I heard it was the other way round!, It was Royalty who did it!” King Jung yelled

” Your majesty…” Rachel said slowly

” The life of an innocent human is nothing but a passing wind to you right?, Only those who wound the rules are entitled to death, not innocent people” he said

” I’m sorry your majesty” Rachel replied, still bowing

” The King’s festival, it was you with me in the palanquin right?” King Jung said and she quickly looked up

“Huh… what…what are you… talking about your highness” she stuttered

” Father…” Cal said from the door of the chamber

” Come in!” King Jung said sharply and Cal came in

” You really don’t know anything but following your mother’s footprints right?”

” Father I was just..

“Cal….if at all you want to emulate, Royalty or Jimin are available” King Jung interrupted

” Your highness it’s really unfair, I’m always the victim but at the same time I get treated like the villain” Rachel said

” Leave” King Jung said and Rachel stood, without saying anything she left the place

“You’re dying soon anyways, do your last nonsense” she thought as she walked away

” Did you release the guard already?” King Jung asked Cal

” Yes father, I did” he replied slowly

“Tell him to come here” king Jung replied and Cal bowed before taking his leave

” Your majesty” Cory said as he entered the chamber some minutes later

He’s changed into his normal clothes already and he has washed up, just the fresh untreated bruises on his face and his body

He bowed in respect, waiting for what king Jung has to say

“Brace up, don’t be weak” he said

“Yes your majesty” Cory replied

“Follow queen Rachel secretly, report her daily routine to me” King Jung said

” Your highness I have to guard….

” I know, just do what I asked alongside with guarding Jimin” king Jung interrupted

“Yes your highness” he replied and stood

He left the chamber and walked slowly through the hallway that led back to his room

Someone suddenly pulled him into a corner, he made to attack but relented when he saw it’s Royalty

She has a guilty and sorry look on her face

“I’m so sorry that had to happen, I couldn’t do anything because I was locked up I’m sorry Cory, I’m really very sorry” she pleaded and tried to touch him but Cory quickly step back from her. “Can you keep your distance?” He said without an ounce of emotion in his tone

“Why?”

“Are you really asking why?, I narrowly escaped getting killed and here you are asking me why, stay away please” he replied

” I understand… But can we still talk sometimes at least?, Please” she said

” There’s nothing to talk about your highness, I’m off” he replied and left immediately

Royal bent down and cried hurtfully.

Miryang town**

Ginelle searched with her eyes for any sign of Brayden in the marketplace maybe he’ll be there, telling stories as usual but there seems to be no sign of him

She stopped and her arms went akimbo

“He’s not narrating stories today?” She wondered, feeling sad

She suddenly wants to see him again

She turned to go but saw him behind her

“You scared me!” She said, holding her chest

“Sorry, were you looking for me?” He asked

“Stop the cockiness, who’ll look for you” she said, making serious faces

” Ok, them I’ll take my leave” he said and started leaving

*That rascal” she muttered and blocked his way

” I have something to ask you” she lied

” So…

“Don’t go” she replied and Brayden smiled

He took her hand and led her to the base of a peach tree

They sat and she started thinking of what to ask

“So what do you have to ask?” He asked

“Em….the….

” The what?”

“I… dunno” she said

“You mean you suddenly forgot?, Is your brain in a good shape?” He replied and she hit him hard

” Ouch!, That hurts!” He said, rubbing the spot..

“I once heard you saying the story about the flower goddess is not to be told now, so….can you tell me about it?” She asked

” Flower goddess Petal….. I’m not gonna tell you now, but I promise to tell you later” he said

” Is the story a long one?” She asked

“I can’t put it that way, let’s just say it’s… powerful, I almost got possessed with the book I got it from” he said

” Really?, Possessed?”

” It’s ok, I’ll tell you someday ok?” He said and she nodded

He drew closer and lay on the ground then placed his head on her laps

“Hey!, I told you I’m expensive!” She said

“How much for a peaceful sleep on your laps like this?” He asked, closing his eyes

He looks peaceful and so adorable with his eyes closed

Words got stuck in her throat as she stared

Soon, he slept off.

Royal palace, Suzy’s room**

“The wound is not very deep, the sword didn’t penetrate much” the physician said after examining Suzy who’s lying unconscious on her bed

“I’m glad” Sera said

“I’ve treated the wound and I’ll always be here to redress it, she’ll wake up soon though, I’ll take my leave” the physician said and left

” Wake up soon Suzy, mother loves you so much” Sera said slowly

Cory knocked before walking slowly into the room

“I’m sorry I know I shouldn’t be here but I just wanted to check on her since she took it for me” he said

” It’s ok, though I still don’t understand why she did that” Sera replied

” Is she getting better?” Royalty asked, entering the room too

” Yes, the physician said she’ll wake up soon and thankfully her wound is not a deep one” Rachel replied

Royalty nodded and looked at Cory, immediately their eyes met, Cory looked away.

Queen Rachel’s room**

Rachel is busy pacing around her room restlessly, unable to stop as she did

She sat on her bed and stood again then continued pacing

“Sera knows?, What dirty secret was she talking about?, What is it?” She wondered as she paced

She stopped pacing and picked her magic fan, deciding to summon lioness but she stopped herself

“No it seems I’ll have to take care of this in my own way” she thought, getting a small bottle from a drawer

She smiled as she stared at the bottle, turning round without stopping

“If a drop of this mixes with her food, it’s a straight call to hell” she said and laughed wickedly.

Cal’s room**

He sat quietly but deep inside him, he’s restless, his fist is folded on the table and he later got two big dices which he rolled about in his palm

“His majesty told me to emulate Jimin?” He said and smiled but it quickly disappeared

” Why!, Why must it always be him!, Just why!, Why is father treating me like his slave!” He screamed, breathing heavily

” Jimin Jung, your death day is drawing near and near, I won’t just sit and watch anymore, your existence is making me feel uncomfortable, you need to be evacuated from the world!” He screamed

” Your highness” Darrin’s voice said by the door

“Get your annoying face in” Cal replied and he came in

“I just saw prince Jimin coming into the palace with that maid right now with the horse” he reported

” I knew it, Jimin is having an affair with that maid, father detests that so much so if I just report that and let them get caught, Jimin will lose his place in father’s heart, that’s just sure” Cal said, smiling largely .

” Kimora!!!” Tania screamed loudly when Kimora entered the maids chamber

She hugged her tightly, touching her all over

“Where have you been?, Where did you go without telling your best friend Kim-Kim, it’s unfair I was worried” Tania pouted

” I went for a walk” Kimora replied slowly

“Since when did you start going for walks alone, I’m hurt” Tania said slowly

” I’m sorry Tania” she replied

” Hey what’s wrong?, Your voice is weak there’s no energy in it” Tania said, observing her

” I’m just tired” she yawned

“Aww… sorry about that cutie, you just go to your room, I’ll steal some of prince Jimin’s cookies and candies and bring them for you, you’ll regain your strength” Tania said and Kimora smiled

” I love you a lot” she said

“I love you too Kim-Kim, lady Ambrosia has been worried too, I’ll tell her you’re back, go to your room I’ll meet you there ok?” Tania said and Kimora nodded

Tania rushed off and she started her slow walk to her room

After she passed out the other time, she suddenly woke up and saw her wound is gone, she was surprised but Jimin refused to tell her what he did to heal the wound

They had ridden home in silence without saying anything to each other and when they sneaked back into the palace, he kissed her lightly before releasing her to go

“Why is he being stubborn, he won’t even tell me what he did to heal my wound, how headstrong” she thought as she walked to her room

” Janis !” She said surprisingly when Janis suddenly appeared in front of her

“Where have you been since daybreak?” He asked, pulling her into a warm hug but she quickly broke it

“I’m.. I.. went for a walk I’m ok” she replied awkwardly, wanting to leave already

” You’re avoiding my eyes” he said, holding her hand gently

“Janis” she said, looking up at his face

“Tell me anything” he replied

“About what you said…I mean..in the store the other time….I…. think I should clarify things…I have someone I love deeply already” she said

Janis slowly let go of her hand and stared at her blankly for a while

“Who?, Jimin?” He asked and she continued looking at him

“Jimin is a prince Kimora, the second prince of Miryang, how do you expect things to go well when his majesty will never approve of it, stop risking your life” he said

Kimora smiled and touched the necklace on her neck, rubbing the pendant, missing Jimin already

“If it’s because of him, then risking my life is nothing, I love him so much” she said, not looking at him

” Really?” Janis said hurtfully, stepping closer but she moved back

” Yes, so please….. stop aiming for me, Janis go for someone else” she said and walked away slowly

Janis backed the wall and eventually bent down before pouring down tears from his eyes…

“Why does it hurt so much” he cried.

Jimin’s eyes refused to reduce it’s wideness when he saw Cory

His wounds and bruises are much even his face

“What the heck happened to you!” He yelled, holding his shoulders

” I’m ok you don’t have to…

“Tell me right now!, What happened to you!” He interrupted, his eyes exuding anger, ready to release it on whoever it is

“Jimin…

” Who did this to you!, Don’t make me ask the fourth time Cory” he said, breathing loudly

Cory sighed and explained everything to him and Jimin smiled dangerously

“Rachel…. Cal!” He said, folding his fist

He made to leave the room but Cory blocked him

“No you can’t, I’m ok” he said

“But I’m not ok!, You’re like my real brother so tell me how I’ll be ok when your face is a mess, I need to go see someone” Jimin said and left the room.

Rachel’s room**

” Princess Royalty has refused to eat lunch and dinner, he locked up herself in her room and has been crying” a maid reported

” That girl won’t be the end of me, why will she lock herself up and why will she starve herself” Rachel said, standing up to go out of the room but she met Jimin by the door

“What are you doing here” she said

“Must you always show that you’re a devil?” He said..

” What are you saying!”

” You’re a devil who came from the pit of hell and you deserve to be exiled from earth!, Just get out of the surface of the earth already” he said

” Do you realize you’re talking to the queen of Miryang?” She said

” My mother is also a queen so it’s better you shut up right here” he replied

” Are you talking about that concubine?” Rachel mocked

” Yes, I’m talking about a concubine to you …. A slut” he replied, saying it loudly

” What did you just say” Cal replied, coming there

“Oh the cow headed first prince is here” Jimin said and Cal grabbed his robe by the neck

” You bastard!, How dare you talk down on my mother” Cal said..

” Call her a slut instead…. Real bastard” Jimin replied slowly

” Jimin stop” Sera said, coming into the place too

“No mother I plan to hit his face beyond recognition just like he did to Cory” Jimin replied and raised his fist but…

” Enough!” King Jung’s voice stopped him

“Shit” Jimin muttered, dropping his fist while still glaring at Cal who glared back dangerously

“Are you both planning to get locked up in the library again?” King Jung said

They let go of each other and Jimin took a deep breath

“I’m sorry father” he said

“He started it” Cal said

“Jimin you should be getting ready for your wedding instead of all these” king Jung said

” Huh?”

” You’ve always said you want me to be the one to choose your bride right?, You’re twenty and the time is here” King Jung said, smiling largely

” Your majesty…” Sera said

“Get ready, a wedding is happening here five days to come, Jimin you’ll be getting married to Riya Park, daughter of the richest nobleman in Miryang” king Jung said and Cal smiled knowingly

Jimin felt his throat run dry instantly and he swallowed nothing…

“R…Riya… Park?” Sera stuttered.
