The horoscope–themed outfits were selling like hotcakes.

In addition, Caroline had had the insight to develop the second batch of clothing in advance, so the

company had already started discussing the announcement and distribution of the second batch

of clothes.

Everyone was busy except for Caroline. She discovered that her subordinates were not

incompetent. On the contrary, they had taken on a passive attitude toward their work because

they had thought Evans Group would go bankrupt sooner or later.

But things were different now. Everyone was motivated and energetic due to their success. They

were now doing the things she had had to handle alone previously with no trouble.

So Caroline was free at the moment. All she did was sign documents all day. Being a boss was

really easy. No wonder everyone wanted to be one.

However, Caroline didn’t want to relax. If she did, her mind would wander.

In desperation, she called Gwen. She didn’t know what her friend had been doing lately since she

had been really elusive. She hadn’t even shown up at their company’s celebration.

As soon as the call connected, Caroline heard the sound of typing on the keyboard. “Carol…”

Gwen’s voice was filled with joy.

It brightened up Caroline’s mood as well. “You’re in a good mood today.”

“That’s right!” Gwen made no secret of her mood.

“Did you make up with Sean?”

Gwen paused, then said leisurely,,“No.”

Caroline was stunned. “Then, did you win a lottery?”

“Haha, of course not.”

Gwen said, “I got a new boyfriend. I’ll let you meet him tonight.”

“A new boyfriend?” Caroline almost bit her tongue in shock.

“Yeah!” Gwen typed on her keyboard nonchalantly.

Caroline was still shocked. “So you’ve been busy looking for a new boyfriend?”

“Yeah.” Gwen sounded free and easy.

Caroline said, “But before, you didn’t need to find someone else to get over a relationship.”

Gwen either didn’t hear her words or didn’t care.

She asked again, “Are you coming? We’re meeting at a trendy Jasmorian restaurant. It’s difficult to book a spot. My boyfriend is the boss there.”

Caroline asked, “Is your boyfriend Jasmorian?” Was Gwen in a long–distance relationship now?

“No, he’s just a student studying in Jasmoria.”

Gwen said mysteriously, “But don’t tell anyone. He said it was a publicity stunt. If he claims to be

Jasmorian, others will think his restaurant is authentic.”

Caroline frowned slightly at her words. Wasn’t this an act of deception?

However, judging from Gwen’s tone, she really liked her new boyfriend. So Caroline didn’t mention

anything.

In the evening, Caroline and Gwen went to the Jasmorian restaurant together. Like Gwen had said,

it was pretty popular. There was a long line of people in front of the restaurant.

Caroline and Gwen entered through the back door. Coincidentally, when they went into the

restaurant, they met Sonia.

Sonia took off her sunglasses and mask, feeling a little excited. “Caroline?”

Caroline asked, “Hey! What are you doing here?”

Sonia explained with a smile, “I just finished work. I heard the food in this restaurant is excellent,

so I asked Helena to book a table for me. What a coincidence!”
