Kirk’s eyes turned slightly cold. He realized that, right now, Caroline would protect anyone but

him.

“Look!” Caroline put her hands on her hips.

As if disciplining a pet, she scolded, “A smart man like Charles is now acting like a fool. Don’t you

know intensive work can drive people insane?

“If his family sued you for exploiting your subordinates, they would win every single time.”

Charles, who had been so moved that he was about to shed tears, gawked at her. “Huh?”

So she was so worried because she was afraid he would sue Kirk for abusing his subordinates?

A hint of a smile appeared on Kirk’s face.
