Caroline said merrily, “All right!”

After hanging up the phone, she booked a reservation at a barbecue restaurant near the set. Then,

at around 4:00 pm, she drove to Sonia’s set.

Since Caroline had informed Sonia of her plans in advance, Sonia asked her manager, Helena

Copley, to meet up with Caroline when she arrived.

As the two walked to the film set, Helena said many nice things to Caroline. “Thank you so much,

Ms Evans Sonia would still be an unknown D–lister if it hadn’t been for you.”

Caroline smiled at her words. “There’s no need to thank me like that. Sonia and I mutually

benefited from this cooperation. Besides, if she had no real talent, she wouldn’t have the fame she

has now, even with my help.”

Helena scratched her head. “Well …”

Before she could finish her words, the two heard a slap from the film set.

Caroline looked at the source of the sound and saw Sonia, with disheveled hair and cheeks that

were swollen from getting hit.

The person who hit her was none other than Daphne.

After the filming, Daphne told the director, “I’m sorry. I didn’t handle my emotions right. Let’s do

another take.”

The crew members could tell that Daphne was doing this on purpose. The director could see

Daphne’s intentions as well, but since she was the wife of Eddy’s second uncle, he could only say,

Okay, but Ms. Daphne, this is just an act. You don’t have to hit her for real.”

“But I can’t get into the scene if I don’t do it for real!” Daphne smiled innocently, without feeling a

hint of guilt after hitting someone.

Caroline frowned at the sight. “What happened?”

Helena was already used to things like this. “Daphne is probably upset at Sonia for stealing the

spotlight from her. So she’s deliberately using this fight scene to give Sonia a lesson.”

Caroline looked at the director and asked, “Why aren’t they stopping her?”

Helena’s eyes were slightly red. She comforted Caroline. “Sonia has been through a lot of hardships in her career, so getting slapped is nothing for her.”

Caroline’s expression darkened at her words. “This isn’t a hardship. Someone is deliberately humiliating her!”

Helena said, “Ms. Evans, I’m sure you don’t often come to a filming set. In fact, this sort of thing happens all the time. You’ll get used to it.”

Caroline frowned. “Not everything that happens often is right. Since Daphne is using her work as a chance to hurt someone, she’s in the wrong.”

Having said this, Caroline strode toward the set. Then, she blocked Daphne’s wrist before she could land another slap on Sonia’s swollen cheek.

Daphne became pissed and was about to curse at the newcomer. However, when she saw it was Caroline, her expression shifted.

She wasn’t afraid of anyone on the set. After all, they were all in the same industry. If anyone dared to upset her, she had the power to ruin their chances of establishing themselves in the entertainment industry.

But Caroline wasn’t from the entertainment industry, and she had the power to sway the public’s opinion on something. If word about what happened today spread, there would definitely be an

uproar.

Although Daphne had many ways to deal with this, as a celebrity, she knew how much backlash this would cause. For the sake of her fans, she endured her anger and reluctantly pulled her hand

back.

Noticing this, Caroline smiled at Daphne and asked, “Are you that bad at acting, Ms. Daphne? You

still haven’t gotten it right after so many takes. Do you want to take a break?”

The anger that Daphne had just suppressed started to surge. “Ugh! What does an outsider like you

know, Caroline?”

Speaking of this, she looked at Sonia kneeling on the ground with contempt and said arrogantly,”

“But as long as the hype about her dies down, I can ban her from the industry with just a word. Do
