Kirk had already come to a stop in front of her. He raised his hand and patted Caroline’s head as if rewarding a well–behaved child.

Then, he turned to the two children and said, “Do you remember what Ms. Caroline said?”

Although Kirk was smiling, he was still intimidating. The two children nodded timidly.

Kirk said, “That’s good. Go ahead and play outside.”

The two children immediately dashed outside.

Caroline also wanted to run, but she couldn’t move her legs. Besides, she was ashamed that she was so attached to Kirk’s touch. She thought she was really nuts. If she wasn’t in Macovo, she would really ask Kirk for a divorce.

If this continued, she doubted she could keep resisting Kirk’s influence. She kept telling herself that polygamy was wrong. It was wrong!

“Darling …” Kirk brushed away Caroline’s hair.

“That was a nice speech. You’re also good at handling children. It proves that your previous worries were unnecessary.”

“Don’t touch me.” Caroline took a big step back. She became more frightened by the gentleness in

Kirk’s voice.

Kirk said resignedly, “Okay, but can you not run off like you did before?”

That day, he had gone to give Caroline breakfast, only to find that she was gone. He had lost his

composure immediately and ordered Charles to find her within five minutes.

After finding out that Caroline was in Macovo, he had immediately organized a private flight.

However, before leaving, he had been notified that the weather in Macovo was abnormal and they

couldn’t fly a plane.

He had almost strangled the pilot to death back then. If Sean hadn’t stopped him …

Before Caroline could finish, Gwen rushed out of the room and hugged Caroline.

“Carol, I love you so much! They really got a video of Mia falling. It’s a good thing you brought me here again.

“Otherwise, I would’ve had to suffer the accusations in silence and regret this for the rest of my life!” She was so excited that she couldn’t speak coherently anymore.

Hearing that Gwen had found the proof she needed, Caroline felt very happy for her. “Can you let me see it?”

“Of course.”

Gwen clicked on the video’s copy and showed it to Caroline. “Look …”

Caroline looked at the video.

The video had been taken at the skating rink behind the hotel.

As the camera shook, Gwen and Mia finally appeared in the video. Although they passed by very briefly, Caroline could clearly see that Gwen and Mia had no contact at all. Mia had fallen by

herself.

“This is great!” After watching the video, she was sincerely happy for her friend.

“We can finally clear your name with this video.”

“That’s right!” Gwen hugged Caroline, crying tears of joy.
