Caroline returned to her senses and saw Gwen giving her a look.

Her head felt like mush. She was dizzy, and she couldn’t hear anything. She could only nod her head, trusting Gwen to handle things.

“Then, I’ll take you back to our room.” Gwen put down the cutlery and called the staff to pack their food.

Adrian didn’t see the point in eating alone, so he also stood up.

The three of them returned to the third floor together. At the door to their room, Gwen supported Caroline and said to Adrian with a smile, “Sleep well, Mr. Sorkin.”

Adrian looked at Caroline worriedly. “Just knock on my door if you need anything.”

Gwen nodded. She helped Caroline into the room and then gave her a glass of water.

“Carol, was I wrong to remind you about it?” She looked at Caroline, feeling very regretful. Caroline wouldn’t be so troubled if she hadn’t brought it up.

Caroline returned to her senses and hurriedly waved her hands.

Gwen felt helpless looking at Caroline’s hurt and confused expression. She was worried for her

friend.

She had only asked Caroline about divorce because of Adrian. The way he looked at Caroline was

clearly anything but platonic.

Gwen had never considered bringing Caroline and Adrian together, but when she saw how hurt

Caroline was, she realized there was no point in her friend giving up everything for one man.

That was why she asked Caroline about divorcing. However, she now really regretted doing so.

“Carol, is there anything I can do to make you feel better? Gwen held Caroline’s hand, feeling very uneasy
