ON THE PLANE TO AUSTRALIA…..

“we you keeps staring at me all day” he asked

“of course. I didn’t say I will get tired” I answered

We were already on the plane and I guessed we will soon land

We alighted from the plane and entered the car waiting for us and it drove straight to the hospital

Albert rested his head on my chest as I played with his hair

“immediately I get well we give Ryan a sister ok” he said making me choked

He’s not still strong and he’s taking about giving Ryan a sister

I pinched him slightly on his neck

We got to the hospital. We alighted from the car and the nurses who were waiting for us rolled the stretcher over to where we packed the car

They pulled Albert on it and rolled him into the hospital

I followed too not wanting to leave his sight

We got to the ward and the nurses left. The door opened again and it was his mother

I found my heart beating. We aren’t getting any much chance to talk and I like it that way

The doctor came in and his face dropped

“what are you waiting for. Lets get the surgery started” his mother barked

“I’m sorry ma’am. The kidney we were waiting for was infected and there won’t be any kidneys available within this few days ” he said and my eyes widened

I stared at Albert and a tears dropped out of his eyes

A tears dropped out of mine too but I needed to be strong for him. I quickly wiped it off

“Are you doctors dumb. What do you mean you can’t find kidney for my only son. ” she yelled

“MA……….. ” the doctor couldn’t complete his statement as his mother shut him up

“get lost” she barked at him

The doctor inhaled deeply and walked out

“it’s fine mum ” he said trying not to cry

I inhaled deeply

“I will be right back ” I said and kiss his cheeks and ran out before he could reply

I knocked on the doctors office

“come in” he said and I twisted the knob making the door opened for me

“how can I help you”he asked

“I’m Albert wife and I want to give him my kidney. Can you quickly run a test on me” I said and his eyes widened staring at me

“are you sure ” he asked

I have made a decision and I’m more than sure

“yes doctor please run a test on me if I’m fit” I said and he nodded slowly

I stayed back at the doctors office waiting for the test results

He came out and smiled at me

“you are more than fit ma’am. Your both kidneys are healthy” he said and I smile

“I’m glad doctor. Can we do it right away ” I asked

“are you sure you are ready for it” he asked and I nodded

“yes doctor. I can’t wait any longer. I want my husband healthy again ” I said and he nodded

“Trust me a, wife like you is very rare. I love your courage and love for your husband” he said

“so shall we? ” he said pointing the way to the theatre room

“momma” Ryan kept crying

“momma and father! ” he cried harder

“aunt rooooooobin I want to see my momma and father “he cried harder

She smiled and she covered her face with her palm

“wow! ” he said and climbed on top of her desk
