Be The President’s Wife by Chance - Season 1 Episode 3
He held her foot in his palm and placed it on his leg. Taking a tissue, he wiped away the blood from her leg before dipping a cotton swab in iodine to staunch the wound.
The iodine barb seared the wound as if hot oil had been splashed on it.
Her fingers suddenly clenched, her knuckles turning white.
The man noticed her stiffness and asked, “Does it hurt?”
Halle furrowed her brows. “It’s alright.”
“Just say it if it hurts.”
Halle did not say a word.
His movements were light, but the pain was reduced a lot.
Finally, the wound was fixed.
Halle just breathed a sigh of relief.
The next second, the man suddenly picked up the shoes on the ground.
Leaning over, he began to slip her shoes on, his hand that had been holding her ankle now gently cradling her foot.
Halle bit her lower lip and turned her head, refusing to look anymore. After doing all this, the atmosphere was a little awkward.
Cayden and the driver, having heard everything from the start, were left stunned and unable to process it.
His Excellency’s hands, that pair of noble hands, the hands that were used to handle big countries.
Just now… he actually put on shoes for a woman.
About half an hour later, they arrived at the hospital.
As soon as she stepped out of the car, a line of medical staff who had been prearranged rushed over with a cart, respectfully looking at the man and asking, “Sir, is this young lady the injured person?”
The man nodded.
After that, Halle was helped into the cart.
Then, it was time to film, check, and see if there were any injuries to the

bones.
After this series was done.
It was another round of professional wrapping and cleaning.
Throughout the whole process, the man stood beside her and watched her.
Finally, she was sent to the single ward.
Perhaps this day was too exhausting.
Halle lay on the bed, unconsciously falling asleep.
This sleep lasted for an entire afternoon.
By the time she woke up, it was already evening.
The sun was setting, its dim yellow light streaming through the window of the ward, the strange and bright sunset clouds on the horizon.
She suddenly realized that there was another person in the room.
The man, slender and noble, sat on a chair by the window, his dark eyes fixed on her for a moment.

“You… haven’t left yet?” Halle was shocked.
The door to the ward was suddenly pushed open, and Cayden came in with the box of food.
The man took the box of food and put it on the bedside table. “Eat something first.”
“… Thank you.”
Inside were green vegetables and small porridge.
On the lunchbox, it was labeled as “Max Yum.”
At the Max Yum, porridge was scarce.
They only provided services for the head of state or government, so even if the Nelson family wanted it, they would have to spend a week securing an appointment.
This man’s identity was definitely not ordinary.
She had been exposed to all the luxurious items in the capital city, yet the person standing before her had her stumped; she couldn’t figure out who he was.

He asked, “What’s wrong?”
“It’s fine.”
Under the man’s burning gaze, she took a sip.
The atmosphere in the ward was a little stagnant.
Just when she was at a loss for words, the man suddenly spoke in a low and icy tone, “I apologize profusely for what occurred today. You can name your price, and I will make sure to meet your demands.”
Halle pursed her lips and said lightly, “No need.”
She paused.
She added, “…We crossed paths by chance. You have done more than enough.”
The man’s face darkened visibly.
Halle paused.
Seeing that she seemed to be frightened, Cayden could not help but say, “Miss Nelson, His… Sir means he doesn’t want to be in debt to anyone. You should ask for help.”
It was as if they would not stop until she mentioned it.
Halle clenched her spoon tightly.
After a long time.
“Thank you for your kindness. I don’t have a need for anything. You can go now,” she said, bracing herself under the man’s oppressive gaze.
However, the air in the room became colder when she said this.
It was like the cold wind around three thousand meters above the Himalayas, making one shiver all over.
No one dared to speak in the air.
Just as the atmosphere froze and made her uneasy, the man in front of
her finally opened his mouth –
“Marry me.”
