“It’s ok, stop crying” Kingsley tried to pacify her as she continued crying on his shoulders

Though right now he feels like he’s not in his right senses but all what he wants to do is to stop her from crying any longer

Jewel regretted crying especially in front of him cos she hates when her tears is seen but when he hugged her and pacified her, she felt better though her tears are still falling as a result of the remaining fear in her

She has never been so scared all her life, not even once

“Witches don’t cry, stop crying” Kingsley said, trying to pet her to stop crying.

She tried to stop and it started stopping bit by bit but got replaced with hiccups

Kingsley broke the hug and faced her

“Coward, so you’re not that brave” he said

“They were three, …. I can’t face them ” she replied slowly, avoiding his eyes

Kingsley smiled and touched her face slightly but she stepped back as a result of pain

“Ou!, It hurts” she winced

He gently wiped the blood on her face with an hanky

“Are you going home with a face like this?” He asked

” It doesn’t matter” she replied

” It does, how will your parents and sisters react to your swollen face when you were ok before you left the house” he said

Jewel’s mind went to when Rosie was telling her to wait till tomorrow but she insisted on leaving. “Mum will feel sad and be mad at me at the same time, what do I do” she asked herself

” What do you say?” Kingsley asked

” I’ll lodge in an hotel” she blurted

” Is that really making any sense?” He replied

“Then what makes sense?” She said

” Let’s go to my house, you said you wanted to know the address right?, You can stay there till tommorow and even help me lure Veera out of her room” he said

Jewel thought for a while and sighed. ” What do I do” she said

“I just gave you an option” he replied

” Being in the same house with you for the whole of tommorow is what I’m thinking about, it’ll be so annoying” she said

” You think I’m happy to offer you the chance?, I did because of Veera” he replied

” Whatever, let’s go” she said

He smiled and led he way to the car where Richmond is already waiting.

“Richmond” Jewel smiled

“You’re ok right?, your face is……..” Richmond said

“It hurts but honestly I’m ok, I’ll be fine, thanks for saving me Richie, thanks and thanks once again” she said

” It’s ok, so far you’re ok, it’s fine” he replied and returned the smile.

“High five” Jewel said and they stuck hands

“The cops are on their way to capture the fools that passed out, they’re thieves who has been terrorizing this street since three days ago” Richmond said

” Great” Kingsley said and the driver moved the car

Some minutes later, Jewel fell asleep and her head landed on Kingsley’s shoulder

He looked at her sleeping face and smiled then balanced his shoulder so her head won’t fall

Richmond closed his eyes and rested back on the chair so he won’t have to watch them

Throughout the drive, Kingsley won’t stop staring at her face

“I’ll get down from here” Richmond said when they passed by the corner that led to his street

“Really?, But your car…” Kingsley said worriedly

“I’ll call my driver to bring it, you don’t have to worry ” he said and got down from the car

Kingsley nodded as the car moved again, resuming it’s journey to his house

He started staring at her face again and smiled knowingly this time around

“Witch” he said silently, touching her hair fondly

When the car finally pulled up in front of his house, he tapped her. “Witch” he called

Her eyes opened and when she saw she has her head on his shoulder, she spranged up and looked out through the window

“Whoa* she said as she came out of the car with him

“Were you expecting to see a farm house?” Kingsley said

She gave him mean looks and he giggled loudly as he led her into the big mansion

“It’s cozy here, OMG” she said, looking around

“Like my house?” He asked

” It’s your parents house jerk” she replied

“But it’s indirectly mine, I have my own house and Veera has hers, it just hasn’t been released to us” he replied

She continued looking around and Kingsley noticed the curiousness in her eyes

“Looking for my parents?, They’re currently in San Francisco, they’re always on one bussiness trip or another” he said

“Oh” she inhaled, calming down

“Scared of them?” He asked

“A little bit , I’ve heard of their personalities” she replied

” Scary personality?” He asked

” Too scary” she replied and he chuckled

She made to call her parents but she remembered her phone fell the other time

“Oh it fell” she muttered sadly

“Looking for this?” Kingsley asked, bringing out her phone from his trousers pocket

“How did you find it!” She exclaimed

“When I came down from the car with Richmond, I saw it lying on the ground and I picked it up, figuring out that it might be yours” he said

She tried to take it from him but he pointed it up

“Give it to me” she said, jumping up to get it but he’s taller

“Jerk, give me my phone” she said, jumping up again

” No” he replied, smiling cutely

“This is one of the reasons why I wasn’t feeling like coming here at first, you’re a jerk” she said, jumping up again to get it but he knowingly pecked her right cheek and that made her stop

“You just….” She said, looking at him and holding her cheek

” Pecked a witch, I should go for cleansing” he winked and rushed upstairs

” Kingsley Brown!!” She screamed, running after him

A door suddenly opened and Veera came out

“I knew it, you came” Veera said weakly

Her eyes together with her whole face is red, her lips is dried and she looks weak and feeble

“My baby” Jewel said, rushing to hug her

“Your voice brought me out , Jewel it hurts, Ronny is a bad guy, how can he say that” she said hurtfully, tightening her arms around Jewel

“I know Ronny deserves a good beating for doing that to you, I’d have done that but going to jail is not my way” Jewel said, patting Veera’s back

” Jewel what do I do?, I won’t be able to go to school for this whole week, I have to wait till another gist comes up on the blog to cover up, I’m so embarrassed” Veera said, about to start crying again

“No, don’t cry I’m here now” Jewel said, breaking the hug

” Just look at what you did to that beautiful face of yours, it’s all red” she said and Veera’s eyes widened when she saw Jewel’s face closely too

“Your face!’ she almost screamed

” Thieves attacked me and did this to my face, but thanks to Kingsley and Richmond” Jewel said

” It’s really bad, your face is greatly swollen, you should get it done with an ice pack” Veera said and her eyes widened

” Did you just say Kingsley saved you?” She said

“Kingsley and Richmond” Jewel replied

” For the fact that Kingsley is one of them, it’s shocking, he keeps saving you, how cute!” Veera said, brightening up

” Whatever, that jerk, he offered that I should pass the night here since I don’t want my mum to see my face like this” Jewel said

” Really?, OMG! OMG!, I’m happy now, but you’ll stay with me tomorrow too, I’m not going to school tomorrow, stay here tomorrow too please” Veera said, clinging to Jewel

” You’ll have to chase the jerk in this house out first” she replied

” Kingsley?, Don’t worry he’s cool at home and if he’s not, you know what to do” Veera said

” Oh, sure” Jewel smiled

” Is that a yes?” Veera asked

“Yes” Jewel replied and Veera hugged her again

” I love you so much Jewel I love you!’ she gushed

” Hey stop behaving like a baby” Jewel replied

” So it’s only her that can make you come out” Kingsley said from behind them

” Sweet brother!” Veera gushed and rushed to jump on him, hugging him tightly with her legs on his waist

“Get off me you brat” Kingsley said though he’s not trying to get her off

Veera hanged her hands on his neck and smiled childishly

“Thanks for bringing her here” she said

“Are you happy now?, Promise me you won’t cry again” Kingsley said

” I won’t, and I love you” she said

” I hate you” he replied and she immediately kissed his neck

“Gosh, I told you to stop doing that” he said but she continued sucking on that part

Jewel smiled as she watched the closeness

They behave like they hate each other in school but now they’re behaving like teenagers in love, it’s funny but at the same time sweet to see their strong bond

Veera later removed her lips from his neck and smiled when she saw the hickey she left

“Why don’t you like getting kissed on the neck?” Veera asked

*I love it, but only from you” he whispered

“Have you ever kissed any girl on the neck before?” Veera asked

Kingsley placed his lips on her ear and whispered the answer in her ear

“Unbelievable” Veera said , getting down from him

“Unbelievable, I can’t believe you guys are this close” Jewel said

“Yes we are, but his idiotic attitude made me hate him” Veera said

” She loves me” Kingsley said

“I don’t” Veera replied

Kingsley carried her in his arms suddenly and started swaying her

“Kingsley my eyes are turning!!!” She screamed

“Say you love me” Kingsley said, swaying her again

” I don’t f*cking love you!” She screamed and he continued swaying

Soon her screams turned to cackles, Jewel smiled more widely and when her eyes caught his face, she held the staircase and stared

It’s rare to see him smiling heartily like this, it’s rare to see him happy like this too

Though he smiles while with his b*tches at the lounge but those were arrogant smiles and full of ego but this time around, he looks like he’s genuinely happy and he looks more cute like this

Strangely, his smile made her smile too and till they got to the base of the stairs, she won’t stop smiling till Veera touched her and she jerked up, she’s even unaware of when Kingsley dropped her and the most surprising thing is that Kingsley is already sitting on the couch with an ice pack in front of him

“You’ve been smiling for a long time, what’s up?” Veera asked

” Oh, nothing” she replied

“Come here* Kingsley said

” What?” She pouted

” I need to press your f*cking swollen face with the ice pack” he replied, pointing at the ice pack

” Give me my phone first, I need to call mum and my sisters” she replied

Kingsley pointed at her phone on the table and she picked it

Veera is at the dinning already, eating cereal

Rosie picked immediately she called

“You said thirty minutes but it’s two hours already, what are you doing out there?” Rosie’s voice said

“I’m so sorry mum, Veera is in a bit difficult situation so I had to go help her” she replied

” Veera?, What happened to her?, Is it severe?” She asked hastily

” No mum, I’ll be back tomorrow evening, love you!” She said and hung up then dialled Love’s line

” Hey sisto, are you planning to sleep out?” Love said

” Love you can’t tell mum what I’m about to say…I actually got attacked by thieves and my face is swollen right now, I can’t come home cos mum can’t see my face like this” she said

” Thieves?, What!, Where are you?, Are you ok?” Love asked quickly

” Luckily Kingsley and Richmond saved me, I’m currently at Kingsley’s house with Veera, I won’t be back till tomorrow evening” she said

” It’s fine, just be ok and send my regards to Veera, send the address, I can come over with Pearl after school tommorow” Love replied

“sure, goodnight sis” she replied and hung up

She texted her the address before sitting in front of Kingsley

“Ready?” Kingsley asked

“Sure, but be gentle” she replied

“Ok boss” he replied and took the pack, he held her head then placed it directly on her right cheek

“Ouch!” She winced loudly

“Sorry baby” Veera said from the dinning

“It ok” she replied and Kingsley smiled as he continued pressing the pack gently on her face

Their eyes met and locked, then they stared at each other and Kingsley smiled, Jewel frowned and he pressed it hard on her cheek

“Jerk!” She screamed, standing up

Kingsley laughed loudly and Veera took Jewel upstairs

“What will you wear to bed?, All my clothes will be too small for you, you’re taller and bursty” Veera said

” I can go to bed in this” Jewel replied, referring to what she’s currently putting on

” Wait, that’s Kingsley’s jacket if I’m not wrong” Veera said

” Yeah, he gave it to me when he saved me” she replied

“How sweet, he’s so kind to you, he’s never kind to girls” Veera replied

” I’m special you know, a spec, his boss” she replied and Veera chuckled

“I’ll get you something to wear from his closet then, he has really big hoodies and joggers” Veera said, leaving the room

” Here to disturb me again?” Kingsley said Immediately she entered his room

” Give me one of your joggers and hoodies, Jewel needs to wear them to sleep” Veera said

” Really?, What will you give me in return?” He said

” Stop being a twerp” she grunted

Kingsley went to his closet and brought out a white hoodie and joggers which he gave to her

“Thanks I love you!” She said and left the room

“I love it!, And I’m not giving it back to him” Jewel said after putting it on

” It really looks good on you, by the way you haven’t been shown around, let’s do that now” Veera said

” It’s late already, this is past ten” Jewel said

” I’m feeling sleepy already too but I just don’t want to sleep yet” Veera said, pulling her hand and taking her out of the room

To the kitchen, the game room, the other five rooms, the dinning, round the compound to the pool!

“You guys have a pool?, Yay!” Jewel almost screamed

“You love swimming?” Veera asked

“Not really, but I love night swimming, it always feels good” Jewel replied, staring at the tempting pool

“I’m feeling sleepy already, if you feel like swimming, you can enter the cubicle and change into a swimming suit, there are different sizes there so you don’t have a problem” Veera yawned

” Sure, love you!” Jewel smiled as Veera went in

Jewel went to the cubicle and indeed there’s a lot of new swimming suits in the closet

She picked a blue one and when she put it on, she smiled at what she’s seeing in the mirror

“Yeah, one s*xy babe” she smiled and walked out to the pool

She jumped in without thinking twice and dipped herself in it, it’s obviously treated cos it feels too good against her body

She dived in for a long time but later dived out, leaving her head over the water

Just when Kingsley is about to sleep, he remembered he left his phone downstairs so he went there to get it and met it ringing

It’s a call from Richmond and he picked slowly

“How’s she doing?” Richmond asked

“She’s fine now” he replied slowly , walking out of the living room

“Take care of her” Richmond said

“Sure, I’ll do that” Kingsley replied and hung up

He’s about to go back in when he heard bubbling sounds from the other side so he had to stop and check what it is

He walked quietly to the pool side and saw a figure inside, he almost flinched but when Jewel turned her face to him, he gasped

Her wet hair sticked to the edges and sides of her face, the water is streaming down her chest … She looks too hot!, Her lips is wet and tempting and her whole body is too .. gorgeous

“King… Kingsley?…wha…what are you doing here?” She stuttered, using her hands to cover her upper body

Thankfully the water covered her lower body

She’s not expecting him to come out like this, all she’s thinking is that he’s in his room, sleeping already

Kingsley continued staring for what looked like eternity till he suddenly jumped into the water with her

She shifted back and he went closer

“What are you doing?” She said as he continued moving closer, not taking his eyes off her face

He never answered, just kept moving closer

Jewel turned back to get out of the water but she felt his hand on hers, he turned her to himself and slammed her back gently on the pool wall, facing her directly

“Kingsley….” She said, breathing heavily as she stared at his difficult to read face

He refused to utter a word, instead he did something crazy..

He suddenly tilted her head sidewards and attached his lips to the sensitive part of her neck, sending shivers down her spine….
