“But why?” Queenie asked, perplexed.
“The connections at F&M Apparel are quite complicated, so this trick of yours will eventually be discovered,” William replied.

“No way! The men I recruited were all petty thugs!” A hint of malice flashed through Queenie’s eyes. She loathed Nicole and her righteous gaze. She couldn’t understand how she could transform from a miserable nobody into a powerful figure, and it irritated her.

“Now that F&M Apparel is working with Gardner Corporation, it won’t just get help from your company, but from Gardner Corporation as well. Do you think your lowly lackeys can hide this for long? It’s only a matter of time before Nicole traces it back to you, and then, not only you, but all the Andersons will be doomed!” With his troubled eyes, he stared straight ahead, and looking at his incompetent daughter only made him even angrier. If he had known how talented Nicole was, he wouldn’t have pushed her away. Chief Designer of F&M Apparel, huh? It would be life-changing if we started working with her.

As Queenie listened to her father, she became a little nervous. Biting her lips, she asked shyly, “So, what can we do now?”

“Have your men send the child immediately, and I’ll take care of the rest. Just pretend you don’t know anything.” William reached out and massaged his forehead.

Hearing his words, Lydia hesitantly said, “But if President Gardner knew what Queenie did…”

Another fool, isn’t she? Nicole is the head designer at F&M Apparel. We need the Gardners to change our lives,” he stated sternly. He was fully aware of the benefits his family could use.

At her father’s words, Queenie clenched her fists even tighter and panted as she boiled with fury. What gives?! Is Daddy’s idea to please Nicole?!

Nicole had been gone for five years, and during those five years, Queenie had shamelessly rewarded Colton for getting her family’s life back on track. But now, William was very surprised, not by “Lisa,” but by Nicole,

Watching as Queenie still stood there, he shouted loudly, “Well, what are you waiting for? Go bring my grandson back!” After learning that Nicole was actually Lisa, William’s attitude changed drastically, and he even referred to Hayden as his grandson.

Although Queenie was still angry, she could only bear it and grit her teeth as she made the call.

Meanwhile, Nicole, like a lunatic, was still searching for her son. Since it hadn’t been long since she returned to the country, she basically didn’t know anyone other than the Andersons, as well as Joseph and Colton, so she couldn’t imagine who would want to kidnap her son.

After Colton sent her home, she was left with no leads. And so, she kept calling her son’s number, hoping he would answer, but his phone was still off.

“Wah…” She finally collapsed. As she crouched on the ground, she pressed her face against her knees tightly, sniffling and whimpering agonizingly.

Looking at the woman crouched under the shade of a tree and listening to her sobs, Colton strangely became upset. He then walked over to her and slightly lowered his head to look at her. He had seen many sides of the woman, be it her optimistic or lively side, but this was the first time he had seen her so sad and restless.

He swallowed hard and blinked his dark eyes before crouching down to get a good look at her. “Miss Anderson, I’ve sent some men to look for you. We’ll hear from you by tomorrow.” His deep voice was somehow comforting to hear.

Sniffling, Nicole lifted her head, her vision clouded by tears. Her mind was in turmoil, and she needed a shoulder to cry on more than anything else right now. As she looked at the man before her, she threw herself straight into his arms.
