Nicole raised her head and subconsciously frowned as she saw the two before her. Queenie and Joseph? Is the world so small that I would stumble upon these two? “What does my whereabouts have to do with you?

“You came here looking for Colton, didn’t you?” Queenie revealed a trace of anger on her face as she finally understood why Nicole would pretend to be Lisa. Someone must have told her that Colton is coming to F&M Apparel’s annual dinner, and now she’s pretending to be the company’s chief designer to meet him! “

You’re such a b*tch, Nicole! You slept with a man five years ago and now you’ve got your eye on Colton. There’s no way he would fall for a woman like you!” Queenie uttered listlessly as her eyes were filled with intense irritation.

“Hey, watch your mouth!” When Nicole heard her mindless babble, her eyebrows furrowed into a thin line. “It’s only natural that I’m here because I’m Lisa, the chief designer of F&M Apparel.”

Hearing this, Joseph sneered. “Oh, Miss Anderson. Who would have thought that you would be so persistent with your lie because of your pride? Congratulations on your determination.”

“Still, there must be limits to your nonsense, Nicole.” Queenie raised her head proudly. And here I thought she was just impersonating Lisa to act like she was the superior, but her ulterior motive was really just to get close to Colton! If that’s the case, I’ll tear her name off!”

Queenie laughed. “Since it’s come to this, I’ll tell you the truth, Nicole.

Assistant?” Nicole was perplexed. No wonder her voice and number sounded familiar… So it’s always been Queenie? And the friend she brought today is Joseph?

Noticing the brief confusion on her face, Queenie smiled even more complacently, assuming that Nicole’s expression was the result of her exposure. Her speech also became more pompous. “I have no idea how you got in here, but I would leave as soon as possible if I were you, rather than embarrass myself here.” Joseph tacitly added, “I know, right? I wouldn’t know how I would recover from the embarrassment if I were exposed publicly.” At that moment, Nicole revealed a cold smile. “Although you are Lisa’s assistant, you have never seen her and have only interacted with her through phone calls.” Queenie was slightly stunned. Just as she was about to question her acquaintance, she was interrupted by a disturbance at the door. Nicole turned to the door, only to see two tall figures approaching. He pursed his thin lips into a horizontal line, and as he walked, he gave off an intimidating aura.

Seeing Zachary, Queenie immediately grabbed Nicole and dragged her to the doors of the banquet hall. “You said you’re Lisa, right? Since the president of F&M Apparel has arrived, let’s check with him!” Without giving Nicole a chance to resist, she fiercely pulled her towards the two dashing men.

“Good to see you, President Gardner.” After greeting Colton, Queenie turned to Zachary. “Greetings, President Yates. My name is Queenie Anderson. My sister here has been running amok recently, claiming and pretending to be Lisa, the chief designer of F&M Apparel. And that will certainly disgrace your company. But since you’re here, President Yates, perhaps you can teach this wannabe a lesson!” Her words caused an uproar in the crowd, and the onlookers began to point fingers at Nicole and criticize her.

When Zachary’s eyes fell on Nicole, he pursed his thin lips as if he was hiding something. Simultaneously, a sense of fire surged in his ebony eyes.

Seeing this, Queenie thought that he was upset that Nicole was a copycat and further commented, “President Yates, she didn’t even finish college and kept telling everyone that she’s Lisa. She even did everything she could to sneak into the company’s annual dinner… She must have bad intentions!”

The crowd continued to badmouth and belittle Nicole. Hearing the murmurs from the crowd, Queenie felt satisfied. I’m going to ruin Nicole’s life and make her grovel at my feet today! There’s no way she’ll recover from this!

When Queenie finally finished, Zachary approached her with a withdrawn smile. His face was like stone, and his voice was terribly cold.
