He stepped out of his car, adjusting his jacket. A guard escorted him to the boss’s office.

The guard knocked on the door. ” Who is that? ” Asked a voice from the inside.

” Alpha Kaden has arrived. ” He announced.

” Oh, please let him in. ” The guard opened the door for him to enter. He stretched out his hand for a handshake, ” Encantada de conocerte, Mr Hudson. ” He spoke in his spanish intonation.

” Estoy encantada de conocerte también, Mr Smith.” Alpha Kaden took hold of his hand, returning the handshake.

” Please have a seat. ” He gestured him to sit down on one of the chairs. ” So, you got the message didn’t you? ”

” Yes, I did. Tell me this isn’t what I am thinking. ”

” I bet it is. Honestly, I thought this would be over a long time ago. I don’t know why they still persist on taking revenge over that little matter. ”

” This is all my father’s fault. He thinks he was so smart to have brought that bitch into the house. If only he had seen what I saw in her, none of this would have happened.

I thought banning her was justice, now I know I would have just ended her life when I had the chance to. I hate that woman. ” He said, stressing the words.

” They sent me a letter last night. ”

” What did it say? ” He asked inquisitively.

” They want my help. Due to my relationship with the American Force Base, they want me to help them steal some weaponry. I asked them why but, they said it was too personal.

I don’t know what they are up to but, I can’t remember ever hearing the Vergence Pack had a problem with any other pack except from yours. So, if my thoughts are right, then it means they want this weaponry for your pack. ”

This left Alpha Kaden laughing. Mr Smith stared confused at him, this was supposed to make him frightened. This was supposed to leave him in thoughts but he seemed not to bother.

” How do you find this funny, Mr Hudson, this is your people we are talking about. The Vergence Pack will stop at nothing until they watch you fall. And with your step mother involved, I’m pretty sure she must have told them all about your territory and how to destroy it. ”

” Come on, Mr Smith, don’t be such a kid. The Vergence Pack has nothing to do with me. Whenever they are ready to attack, I am ready too. You wanna know the last time I ever got scared of anyone?

That was when I lost my mother. I was only thirteen then. And with that bitch involved, it only made the game a lot interesting. At least, I’ll get the chance to kill her. ” He ended it with a smile.

” At that, you still need to come up with a plan. ”

” Don’t worry about the plan, I already have one. It’s you we should be worried about. You’re the one they sent the letter to, and they will be expecting a reply soon. ”

” That seems to be the problem. I spent the whole night thinking of what to say, and yet I couldn’t come up with any, that’s why I requested for you. It would be of a great pleasure to hear your thoughts. ”

He sighed.

” This isn’t an ordinary case, I need some time to think of a good idea. Try to stay alerted, I’ll get back to you before dawn. ”

” Graçias, Mr Hudson, I really appreciate it. ” He thanked.

” Muy bien entonces. ” He said, standing up. “We’ll talk tonight. ”

They shook hands again before he saw him off. ” Till then. ”

” Till then. ” He entered his car, zooming out of the company.

Kaden paced around his room, he wouldn’t want to show how concerned he was about this problem right before Mr Smith.

He regretted letting her at the first place. He blamed himself for being so cold to her after what she’s caused him.

All the pains he felt all because her maltreatment. All because her his father had sent him to one of the states, he wasn’t able to enjoy the fatherly love he deserved.

Although he hated his father for what he did to him, but a part of him still wanted him back. A part of him wants to see his face. And those smiles that he always give to him, he had left with it.

And nothing pained him than to hear that pathetic woman still breaths. Her banged his fist on his desk, exhaling hard.

Knock…

There came a knock on his door, it wouldn’t be Illiana he thought. If it were to be her, he wouldn’t want her to see how hurt and annoyed he was.

” Who’s that? ” He asked, trying to comport himself.

” Kaden, it’s me, Coen. ” Said the voice from the other side.

” Come in. ” He permitted.

Noticing the angry look on Kaden’s face, he asked. ” What’s up, man? Did something bad happen? ”

Beta Coen was his best friend from Barcelona where he lived with his uncle and there he was able to learn a little bit of spanish.

At first, Coen was a human but after he had learnt of Kaden’s true identity, Kaden thought he would leave and end their friendship but no, instead he pleaded with Kaden to make him one of his.

Coen’s knowledge about Kaden was all a mistake. Kaden was being bullied. He promised himself never to expose him self no matter what, but then they won’t stop from treating him bad.

He took offense, he transformed into his wolf form right before Coen. When Kaden found out that Coen was watching, he flee back home, locking himself for two days.

And until now, Coen has never left his side for any thing or any one.

” The Vergence Pack. ” He coldly said.

” What about them. ”

” They had sent a message to Mr Smith to get weaponry from the American Force Base. ”

” Why would they want weaponry? ” Kaden said nothing but only stared at him. He understood the look, ” Don’t Tell me it’s what I am thinking. ”

” This is all my fault, I should have killed her when I had the chance to. That bitch knows every thing about the territory, she’s probably going to tell them every thing. ” He heaved a sigh.

” You don’t have to blame yourself for this, Kaden. Killing her or not killing her doesn’t make any sense at all. What would you say if they find out that you killed her? ”

” She died out of heart attack since she couldn’t bear living alone without my father. That makes a nice story. ”

” And you do think they are going to believe you? ”

” They will. They know how close she was to my father and their love was annoyingly great. ” He rolled his eyes.

” You wouldn’t do that even if you want to. I know you more than any one, you’ve got a kind heart to kill. You would do the same thing even if you had the chance to. All we’ve got to do is to get ready for whatever that is about to happen.

You tell us what to do, all we have to do is to follow it. ” He tapped him in his left shoulder. ” Always know we’ve got your back.”

He nodded his head. ” Thank you. ”

” Anytime. ” He left the room.

She laid on her bed, the room totally dark and blur. Crystal slept beside her, snoring softly.

The weather had become hot, Illiana’s body sweating profusely. She shifted the blanket out of her body, letting the wind blow on her skin.

The smell of burning smoke filled her nostrils, she had thought it was real but when she opened her eyes, nothing was burning and there was no burning smoke either.

She turned to look at Crystal who still slept in the same position. She placed a kiss on her head, before returning back to sleep.

She shut her eyes close, and there into another dimension she had find herself laying on the bare ground.
