Although everyone had different cultivation, they should share the same aura, as they were members of the Medicine God Sect regardless of which techniques they cultivated. However, the Lord of Medicine God Sect was giving off a unique vibe different from all others in the sect.

Having sensed that something was off, Jared released his spiritual sense to investigate the techniques cultivated by the Lord of Medicine God Sect, but his spiritual sense was bounced back to him by an invisible force. Evidently, the Lord of Medicine God Sect had detected his intention.

Jared and the Lord of Medicine God Sect locked eyes, but neither spoke.

“Jared, kneel. Hurry up and kneel.” Axton reminded Jared in a hushed voice, but the latter wasn’t listening to him.

After a brief moment, the Lord of Medicine God Sect waved his hand and said, “All of you, get up.”

Everyone except for Jared stood up and retreated to the sides. They kept their heads low without daring to look up.

“Are you the dual cultivation genius capable of crafting a high-tier pill?” the Lord of Medicine God Sect asked slowly.

Jared shook his head. “I cannot craft a high-tier pill, and I am also not a genius because I merely know a little about magecraft.”

“Hahaha, you’re quite a humble young man.” The Lord of Medicine God Sect laughed. Then he pointed at Lyanna, who was lying on the side of the hall. “Is that girl your girlfriend?”

“She’s my friend, not my girlfriend.” Jared shook his head again.

“Fine. Your friend’s internal organs are severely damaged. Her life is hanging by a thread, and she is likely to pass away at any moment. I can save your friend, but I heard you possessed an interesting cauldron with you. Do you mind letting me see that cauldron?” The Lord of Medicine God Sect cut to the chase.

Jared glanced at Axton. It was obvious to him that Axton had provided that information to the Lord of Medicine God Sect.

Axton hurriedly explained, “Jared, the Lord has an interest in researching cauldrons. After all, a cauldron is a must in crafting pills. You can also take this opportunity to allow him to assess the quality of your cauldron.”

Jared had no other choice but to take out the Divine Cauldron. A few elders laughed out loud when they noticed the tiny palm-sized Divine Cauldron placed in Jared’s hand.

“I’ve never seen a cauldron this small. This is not a cauldron. It is clearly an incense burner.”

The few elders could not contain their urge to laugh.

In contrast to the elders’ reaction, the Lord of Medicine God Sect stood up from his chair and gazed passionately at the Divine Cauldron the moment Jared took out the item.

After a split second, the Lord of Medicine God Sect regained his composure and sat back down. He said to Jared, “That cauldron of yours is rather delicate. Where did you get it from?”

“A friend gifted it to me,” Jared answered calmly.

The Lord of Medicine God Sect nodded. “Rest assured. I will save your friend’s life. You can rest here in the Medicine God Sect for a couple of days. By that time, your friend will be fully recovered.”

Jared continued wearing a poker face even after hearing the good news that Lyanna could get through that predicament, as if he could not care less about her survival.

Axton took a step forward in a hurry after noticing Jared’s indifference. “My Lord, I hereby thank you on behalf of Jared.”

“Mr. Knox, show this young man the place where he can take a rest. Let’s have a meal together during lunchtime.” The Lord of Medicine Sect waved them off.

Axton nodded in response. Then he said to Jared, “Let’s go, Jared. Your friend is safe now that the Lord has agreed to save her.”

Jared glanced at Lyanna, who was lying aside, before following Axton out of the hall.

Axton noticed the changes in Jared’s facial expression after they exited the hall, so he asked, “Jared, perhaps you are doubtful toward the Lord’s abilities? He is a capable man. If he says that he can treat your friend, then your friend will definitely survive.”
