I froze.

I wasn’t sure if I heard him well, or maybe my ears was playing a nasty trick on me. Or maybe my mind was changing his words to fit what I wanted to hear. His heart beat against his chest and ribcage and filled my ears with his anxious rhythm, almost matching mine. In my confusion and uncertainty, I raised my stunned and perplex gaze to his glistening eyes; his diamond eyes of passion.

“Zedekiah,” I called shakily, “you said the “L” word,”

A smile spread across his lips as a single tear ran down his cheek and over his two pink fleshs, “I know, I know what I said and I mean it. I would admit that yours is stronger, but I do love you, and I will spend the rest of forever building up my heart until I love you more than you love me.”

We let the silence finalise the moment, seal our unspoken forgiveness, merge our hearts, bind our minds and then, sealed it with a slow and intense passionate kiss. Because after that kiss, I strangely felt connected to Zed more than I ever was.
