A LITTLE TOUCH OF ROSE - EPISODE 15
Rosita’s standpoint
Dark, the dark hallway was silent and echoed every sound. Curtains clothed the walls, and the dim lights casted small shadows in the hallway. The door at the end of the hallway shone some light as the person inside move around. Don Jezreel, I finally found his secret hideout. No one knew the underground house, at least not much knew and that was perfect.
I didn’t walk on the floor, no, I crawled along the ceiling like a wall gecko. I crept closer to the door, then knocked on it, gently, respectfully.
“Just come in and deliver the report,” he said harshly. I removed one of my paralysis pin from my bangle, put a rose dart in my mouth and then flung myself into the room by kicking the slightly open door even wider. The man moved fast, quickly grabbed his gun to shoot but I rolled out of the way at the same time, threw the pin at his leg.
I rolled behind a solid chair and removed the rose from my mouth. I smirked when he hissed from pain, the poison was working. I angled the rose, stared at his shadow and knew where exactly to throw it at. I threw the rose, listened to it swoosh through the air and hit bullseye. The paralysis pin worked it magic, he slumped on the floor. I came out from my hiding spot with a grin. The rose pinned his hand to the table, throwing away his gun.
“Hello, Don Jezreel,” I purred, “surprise to see me?”
He groaned from pain, “who the fuck are you?” I rolled my eyes.
“I thought the rose would tell you who I am,” he looked at the rose pinning his hand to the side of the table, and then his eyes widened with horror, “mm hm,” I hummed.
“Wh…wh…what do I have with you? I did nothing to offend you, Altansarnai, what do you want from me?” He asked with fright. I frowned as I stared down at the man.
“You want to tell me that you don’t know who I work…” I paused when I realise he indeed didn’t know. To him, Zedekiah’s father and Terry’s were his business enemies. He had no idea that the Donahue was in charge of the world’s feared assassin organisation, he had no idea that by hurting both Rico Donahue’s best friends, he had signed his death certificate. Don Jezreel had no idea what he did.
“Hmm, I see. Normally, this is where I ought to tell you why I’m killing you, but then again, I don’t do that shit.”
“Warning, I’m picking up heat signature and tender vitals. Armed men are coming towards you.” Romi announced. I scoffed.
“You pressed an emergency button, I see,” his eyes widened again when he realised I knew, “I’m going to end you now,” I removed another rose from my belt and took a step closer to him. “Goodbye, Jezreel, hope to see you in hell someday.” With that, I sank the explosive rose into the crown of his head. I walked to the door, pulled my hood over my head and shut the door.
“Activating stealth mode, invisibility cloak turned on,” I pushed myself to the wall and walk along it. The men ran in with their guns, all running past me. You can’t kill what you can’t see, can you?
Immediately I was in the other hallway, the two roses exploded. I heard the men’s screams, thuds and grunts. I picked up the pace and turned my stride to a run. I already set the explosive roses in places while coming in. The whole place would crumble to the ground as soon as I’m out.
_______________
I flung my helmet on the sofa and began peeling the suit off me. I threw it on the foyer and continued walking to my room, knowing fully well that Romi would have the house bots bring it to the closet. I was already stark naked by the time I got to the room. I went into the shower for a long cold bath. I stood under the cold water, eyes closed and face turned up, my breathing calm and steady. My mind was fighting something, but I didn’t know what it was.
Zedekiah… I turned my face down and snap my eyes open. It rained heavily few hours ago, did he get home safe? Oh, Hezzy would kill me if he gets sick.
Oh wait, he can’t.
“Why am I thinking about him?” I shouted at myself. I huffed and turned off the shower. My mind replayed how happy he was at the arcade, how he was so free and cheerful. I never noticed how beautiful his real eye colours were, maybe because he always changed it to blue because he thinks blue makes him hotter.
Zed had deep green eyes with golden brown tint that shades the orbs. Whenever he was excited like he was at the arcade, the green would turn lighter and sparkly, and the golden brown thin out. When he was pissed about something like when he was pissed when one of the machine ate his coin, the spark on his eyes would darken in a sort of way and the brown of his eyes grow bigger around the green. When he was tired, the green slightly darken along with the brown. And when he was furious like he always is, the brown of his eyes completely swallow the green… Okay, makes it nothing but a tiny tint left.
I loved the excited one more. It made him boyish, joyful, cute, free. I wondered how his eyes would look like when filled with lust. Maybe it would be like his father’s, the green would darken and mix with the golden brown. I looked at my naked body.
Would he feel lust if he sees m…
“God, no! Get it out of my head! Gross! Ugh!” I screamed. I ran out of the shower quick to dress up before I got any crazy idea. Romi was chuckling throughout. “Stop laughing,” I snapped.
“What? It’s funny,” she giggled.
“I need to stop letting mom make me watch romance movies before it turns me into a fucked up whore,” I lamented to myself. “I can’t believe I thought about him… Ugh! Romi, what is wrong with me?” I cried.
“Affection, you feel a new kind of affection for him,” she explained, “even if you won’t admit it. You no longer hate him, you just don’t like him either but subconsciously, you do.”
“That makes no sense! Shut up, Romi, who asked you,” I snapped. She chuckled again.
“Incoming call, your father, Rosita. Should I answer the call?”
“Yeah,” I threw myself on my bed and sighed. The call connected and his voice echoed in the bedroom.
“Rosy, honey,” I groaned, causing him to chuckle. I already knew what he wanted to say.
“No, dad, I’m still a virgin and not with Zed, leave me be.”
He clucked sadly. “Don’t worry, you’ll get there.”
“Dad, why do you want me to be with him so much? Is it just to connect your families because I know if it’s just that, there’s Terry and Tenny. Why Zedekiah of all guys? If it was one of the twins, I would have given in a long time ago but…”
“Hezekiah is my best friend, the best between them and we go way back before Timothy joined the crew. Hezekiah is like a brother… No, he is a brother to me. He is the flesh of my flesh, the bone of my bone and the only person I can give my life for. Don’t ask me why I love him, I don’t know either and no, I’m sure homosexualism isn’t my thing. I want my family to be connected to his…”
“And by doing so, you are going to change the Donahue name? I am your only child, dad, or do you have another?”
“Unfortunately, no. But, marrying him doesn’t mean you change your name, it will always be there. However, that is only the first reason why I want his son for you. Rosita, Hezekiah is a kind man, softhearted, sweet, caring, loyal, honest, and genuine. He would never hurt someone he loves, never hurt the woman his heart belongs to and you know that. He is considerate, understanding, generous, hospitable and above all, forgiving. All this trait, all this good things flowed into his only descendant, his offspring, Zedekiah. Zedekiah is just like him, Rosita, just like him.”
“But why?” I cried, already knowing why but finding it hard to believe.
He sighed sadly. “If you fall for him, he would treasure you and make sure to keep your heart safe. He would love you with his very breath and shower you with care and kindness. Rosita, as my only child, as the only female after more than six generations, I want you to have what no Donahue have ever had, I want you to be happy. I love you, Rosita, with everything I’ve got. I don’t want you to continue living like this, endangering your life everyday and yet having nothing to be happy about. I want you to have someone who would love you despite of your flaws and the murderous gene that runs through our blood. Unlike me, I don’t want you to love and feel pain, pain that never stops and the compelling urge to follow the code. My father never set me free to love before he died, that is why the code for me is a must. Not because I want it, but because of the force that compels me to. But for you, I am setting you free to love and be loved, but only by someone who would take care of your heart and that someone is Zedekiah,”
“So, honey, give him a chance or remain locked by the force of the code. Trust me, Rosita, you don’t want to know how it feels like to fight your soul and the force you were born with to keep the person you love alive, to watch her fall in love and have a happy life with another. I am sparing you from the pain, my princess, so spare yourself too.”
I was sobbing by the time he was done. Not just because he really cared for me that much, not just because what he said about Zed was true, but also because he just indirectly confessed his love for mom. Dad loved her, dad cared enough to fight the force and cause himself endless pain. It would be nice to be able to go to sleep knowing there is someone out there who loves you, that there is someone out there who cared and would forgive me no matter what. He was right, I didn’t want the loneliness that came with our legacy. I deserve to be happy and he was setting me free to be happy.
The force is best described as a sacred blood oath created by our ancestors that started the assassin lineage, back when swords were the best weapon to man, where magic was said to be powerful. It was a contract that govern us, keep us from making mistakes. A code can be deleted by the supreme if he wishes, but only after twenty years of ruling and to the next heir only. A supreme can only take out five codes his entire lifetime but replace it with three. Now I knew why father changed some laws few years back, he did it for me.
That wasn’t what bothered me. Father intentionally kept mother trapped in Japan so he wouldn’t have to see her because if he does, she is as good as dead. Fear covered my head as my heart pounded. I was endangering mom’s life by being with her. Father was keeping her safe by keeping her away from me. The only way was to leave, but I couldn’t bring myself to leave her or my siblings, never.
“Rosita, are you okay?” His voice broke me out of my train of thoughts.
“Erm, yeah, sure. Just wanted you to know that Don Jezreel is dead, I killed him.”
“Wait, what?! You found that bastard! Oh baby, I’m so proud of you. I will give the guys a call and tell them the good news. Tell me anything you want, anything at all.”
“Can I be betrothed to one of the twins instead? Please?’ I pleaded. He sighed heavily before the call disconnected. “You could have just said no,” I grumbled. I turned on my side and grabbed the stuffed chinchilla Zed got me. “What do I do now, Romi? What to do?”
“I believe that with time, everything would sort itself.”
Yes, yes, it will.
______________
“Rosita-chan!’ I chuckled as I turned around. I was surprise to see Odin rushing towards me, a wide grin on his face. He was coming to school freaking late.
“Odin-sama, you a…” I screamed as he suddenly lifted me off the floor and began spinning me around. My scream turn into a laugh as the world spun around me.
“Thank you, thank you,” he kept saying. Once he placed me back on my own feet, he attacked my face with kisses, kisses that made me laugh.
“Odin-sama,” I called between my laugh, “calm down,” he stopped kissing me and hugged me instead, really tight. I patted his back as I chuckled.
“Geez, just tell me to start arranging a wedding for the two of you, get a room.” My heart missed a beat when I heard his voice. I took in a deep breath, confuse on why I was acting different all of a sudden.
Odin pulled away from me still grinning. “I’m guessing your talk with Meena went well,” I smiled.
“Oh, it went very well,” he said and licked his lips. I turned my gaze to Zed, holding my breath so my heart won’t skip again. He gave me a flat look.
“You left me in the rain. Where are my keys, phones and wallet?” I shrugged. “Don’t do that, tell me. I had to use someone’s phone to call Odin, thank God I knew his number…”
“I already sent them to you, didn’t you receive it?” I questioned. He rolled his eyes, he did receive it.
“You are lucky I’m in a good mood,”
“And if you are not? What will you do?” I challenged, folding my arms to look intimidating.

“You two, don’t start, please. Let’s go to class before we are late,” Odin cut in hastily. Zed and I both pause and looked at him with a sneer, “what?”
“Late? You are coming to school at the very last class and you are talking about late?” Zedekiah asked before me.
“Like I said, before we run late. Come on, Rosita,” and he pulled me along while Zed strolled behind us. In class, I was chatting Hezzy up. He sent me a huge amount of money overnight as a thank you present for saving his marriage and bringing his sister justice. I was telling him I didn’t need the money, but he wouldn’t listen.
“Alyssa would be so glad once I tell her the killer of her mother is dead,” he sent to me. Alyssa, Zedekiah’s completely delusional cousin. The girl was a complete psychopath and clingy witch. God, she loves clinging to me because to her, we are ‘best friends’. I don’t know where she got the crazy idea from. And she was madly in love with Tennyson who never seem to notice she exist.
“How are you going to explain how he died?” I sent back.
“Accident happens, honey, accident happens.”
“Please pay attention, Sugimoto,” the teacher snapped. I rolled my eyes up to her. “Did you hear what I announced?”
“You are finally going to find a solution to your attitude?” I asked with mock confusion. The students tittered.
“No, but I will find one for yours,” he retorted. “I’m giving you all an essay. You will be partnered up and the assignment is to find out about the other person, then make a short note on what you think that person ought to be and how the person is, base on the given information by your partner. A list of questions to ask have been written down. The answers must be written down by the other and then both would compose the essay on his or her partner. To avoid war, the boys would pick their partners by picking the names out of this bowl.”
Oh, this will not end well.
Odin’s standpoint
I fortunately picked Meena. We could tell about ourselves in our sleep so it was an easy thing. Isaac got stuck with Rita, Cedric happily accepted his hot partner, Alvin and Jake were partners. It was a bad idea, those two would spend more time drinking and messing around instead of doing their assignment. Darra got a cute girl that would make Yuki run mad. It was Zed’s turn to pick his partner.
Zed selected a clean paper and sighed. He lazily opened the paper, his face bored off any excitement, his hips cocked to the side like a girl and his dainty polished fingers touching the paper in a caress. He was chewing gum noisily. Immediately his eyes fell on the name, he squeezed the paper, threw it into his mouth and chewed it along with his gum. He glared at Rosita, making everyone know who he chose.
“Seriously,” she said with disbelief. She looked up at the ceiling, “universe, which of my ancestors offended you? Just tell me so I can find one unfortunate human being–like that goat chewing paper–and use him for appeasement. Please, tell me.”
“Oh shut up,” Zed scoffed as most laughed. “Your existence is enough reason…”
“Sensei, please, we are barely surviving the partnership we are being blackmailed into doing. Please, don’t do this to me.” She cried.
“Behave yourself, Rosita, it’s just a project to be submitted next week…”
“I demand a refund!” She yelled, slamming her fists on her desk. Zed clicked his tongue with a pitiful gaze.
“You can’t ask for refund, you didn’t pay,”
“So says the goat chewing paper,” she retorted sardonically. “Sensei, please, don’t let me work with him again, please?”
“You either work with him or Fueki Tegoshi. You’ll have to go meet him…”
“No! I’m fine with the asshole I know that the pussy I don’t know,” some guys coughed. This person need to learn how to restrict her words. We are in Japan, not America or wherever she come from.
“Then it’s settled, we are stuck with each other again, and no Odin to save you,” Zed said with a sinister smirk. He was in front of her now. She scoffed and rolled her eyes.
“I’m going to be the mature one and ignore…” Zed shoved his paper mixed gum into her mouth. He childishly blew raspberry and ran out as his laugh echoed along with him. Rosita spat it out and screamed. “Grimshaw!!!”
“Rosita, be the mature one,” I reminded her.
“Fuck maturity!”
“Rosita-chan, don’t let him win, okay?” Meena tried to reason with her. She smirked creepily and cracked her knuckles.
“I am going to maturely smack his brain into his ass,” and she dashed out of the classroom. I got up immediately and ran after her. Gosh, she’s fast! I was breathless by the time I reached our lounge where she was yelling at Zed to open the door. Zed was laughing from the other side and adding fuel to her anger with his nasty comments.
“Don’t be sad, Rosita, that is clearly the only close thing to a kiss you will ever experience. You should be proud.”
“Open this damn door and I’ll show you how proud I am,” she screamed.
“Okay, Rose,” I said carefully, taking her arm in my palm, “let’s calm down for a second,”
“No!”
“Oh, Roe Roe, are you going to cry?” Zed taunted.
“Zedekiah, shut up,” I snapped. I leaned closer to Rosita and whispered. “There are other ways to handle this, you know, the ‘mature’ way,” a beautiful smile spread across her face. “So, wanna try that way?”
“Lead the way.”
______________
Three hours later, we were done working on our story project for the day. Zed and Rosita almost killed each other this time, and I’m not joking. Zed made a comment about Rosita’s breasts being the size of mustard seeds, then she jumped on him and strangled him. It took all my strength to drag her off him. Zed coughed and the moment he got himself, he childishly just threw himself across the room and slam into her. The force threw them to the floor and she smacked her head against it.
Then the fool pulled her up by her hair and dragged her to the bathroom. I was watching them in amusement before I realised I was an idiot. So I saved her before he shoved her head into the toilet and flush it for cruelty. After saving her, I pushed him out to check if she had any wound from the floor collision, but she didn’t. Once she was checked, she once again stomped out and went to him. They started yelling in that language again and at some point, both their faces were red, Rosita’s slightly tinted with orange-pink.
Then Zed yelled, “I wouldn’t even fuck you if your pussy is the last one in this world! You are ugly, pathetic and no man will ever be able to manage a piece of plank like you!” I had smack my forehead with a groan and shook my head. Then I heard Zed scream out with agony. I dropped my hand and gasped when I saw what was… Oh, dear.
Rosita had Zed pinned to the chair as she squeezed the life out of his meat and probably balls. The scene made my cheeks flush. This person needs a restrain.
“Rosita, what are you doing?”
“Putting an end to his boasting. Let’s see him boast after his kielbasa is dead.” She had snarl and then pulled on him, causing Zed to scream out with heart clenching pain. As much as I wanted her to punish him, I couldn’t let that continue. So I pulled her away, again. Three hours we spent together, two used fighting, arguing and well, squeezing balls.
Zedekiah had to shower to help numb the pain. Then Rosita had to continue with our evil plan, after everything. She purred itchy powder in his briefs and pants and forced me to give it to him. I almost cried for him when he walked out screaming and itching himself. But it was too funny to cry. We laughed and laughed, even when he ran back in to wash himself. Then Zedekiah came out, went straight to the drawer only him can open and pulled out a gun!
“Sweet Mary!” I exclaimed. I grabbed Rosita’s hand so we could run, but she took it back. She was still laughing despite the situation.
“I’ll kill you, Donahue, I’ll fucking kill you!” Zedekiah threatened, pointing the gun at her. She folded her arms confidently and smirked.
“I’m waiting, Zeddick, do it.” I looked at her like she was insane. Zed gritted his teeth together and cocked the gun.
“I will really shoot you, Rosita,” he said uncertainly. Rosita shrugged carefreely.
“If you can, do it, I’m not stopping you. But let me remind you that you have never succeeded before, what makes you think you will succeed now?” She confidently smirked at him. Zed pushed his fingers into his hair and released curses on no one in particular.
“Witch,” he spat.
“Dick,” she retorted. He tucked the gun into his belt, stomped over to me, took his bag and then stomped to the door. “See you for our next project, size five,” she taunted. Zed chuckled darkly.
“We both know five is far from what you touched and I know you are going to get a serious wet dream about it. Too bad I won’t be there to make it a reality. See you next time, witch.” He tugged the door open and Cedric and co fell into the room.
“What the…! Were you guys eavesdropping?” She shouted.
“It was Darra’s idea,” Alvin said sharply.
“It was Cedric’s suggestion,” Darra defended.
“Did you really grab his dick?” Cedric blunted out. They all said that simultaneously. Zed angled his foot back and kicked his head, causing him to holler. Darra start laughing, only to receive a knock on his head. Alvin quickly stood up and sprinted out. Cedric was till whimpering on the floor.
“Fools,” Zed said annoyedly, jumped over their heads and disappeared into the hall. Rosita flung her bag over her shoulder and walked to the door.
“Bye, Odin-sama. Darra cutie, don’t mind him,”
“You two need to seriously get this sensual tension sorted out before it gets out of hand.” And that earned Cedric another kick in the head.
Three hours we spent together, two hours used fighting and teaching me a grave lesson. Never get yourself involve in the fight between Rosita and Zedekiah.
