- A DIVORCE AFTER MY REBIRTH
- Season 2 Episode 91 - You Tell Me or Should I Ask?
At the Johnson Manor, Christina was in her room, staring at her reflection in the mirror. There was a
sharp glint in her eyes as she stared at the photo on her phone.
She tapped on the device and sent out a message.
Natalie, oh Natalie!
The days they had were so peaceful. Why make it so difficult?
The phone rang, and she answered, “Hello.”
“Mr. Phelps is returning soon,” a deep, masculine voice came through the phone.
Christina smirked, a triumphant expression on her face.
“Alright, I got it.”
So, he was finally coming back, huh?
She had to admit that things had moved so slowly this time, but at least it happened.
Ultimately, it wasn’t that bad!
Satisfied, she hung up and descended the stairs.
Downstairs, Rebecca was dressed elegantly with newly styled hair. There was an air of sophistication.
around her.
esaw
She was just about to leave when she saw Christina coming down. Rebecca paused briefly as she
remembered something.
She said to Christina, “Mr. Channing’s son is returning tomorrow. Go meet him!”
The last blind date had been a failure.
However, Rebecca always kept Christina’s future marriage in mind. Putting aside arranged marriages,
Christina was already at a suitable age to get married.
Christina’s complexion paled. “Mom, I don’t want to get married.”
“Nonsense. What are you going to do if you don’t get married? Are you planning to rely on me
forever??
just want to be with you forever,” Christina was adept at using sweet words.
Despite her scolding tone, Rebecca’s expression showed a hint of indulgence.
“Be a good girl. Mr. Channing’s family is quite traditional. Choose your clothes carefully tomorrow and behave appropriately, understand?”
“Moml”
“Enough of that. I have something to do, so I’m leaving.”
After saying this, Rebecca picked up her bag and headed out.
Even in her fifties, she maintained her allure. It was a testament to her beauty in her youth.
With Rebecca gone, Christina’s playful expression transformed into a sharp one.
Wanda was standing downstairs. When she turned around, she met Christina’s dangerous gaze, and
her
heart trembled.
Miss
“Wanda.”
“Yes, miss!”
“Make me some pastries.”
Christina was still in a good mood if she ignored the blind date she needed to attend tomorrow.
Now that Isaac was returning, Christina felt satisfied just thinking about the scene that awaited Natalie.
Wanda nodded and hurried off.
After so many years by Rebecca’s side, she knew Christina’s tastes well–what flavors she liked and
when she liked them.
Everything was crystal clear!
Behind this understanding was Wanda’s boundless dedication. Every time she saw Christina enjoying
her food, Wanda felt a sense of joy.
Soon, Wanda brought the pastries to Christina.
Here, Miss. Please enjoy
nowledged Wanda’s culinary skills. Taking a bite, she nodded in satisfaction
“Your skill in desserts is truly impressive. Even without the Johnson family, it would undoubtedly attract
a lot of customers if you opened a shop.”
“Miss, are you trying to drive me away? Miss, I…
“What are you talking about? I said your skill is good!”
At Wanda’s reaction, Christina grew impatient.
A servant was just a servant at the end of the day!
No matter how long they spent in high society, they couldn’t change their inherently humble nature.
Wanda finally breathed a sigh of relief after hearing Christina’s words. Christina then asked, “When you
went out with my mom earlier, did you see Mrs. Channing?”
“Yes, I saw her.”

“What kind of person is she?”
“Mrs. Channing is quite good. Madam made an excellent arrangement for you this time!”
Wanda was clearly satisfied with what she knew about the Channing family.
Christina’s expression darkened. “Excellent? What’s so excellent about it?”
Wanda hesitated and stayed silent.
Christina was initially enjoying her snack. But now, losing interest, she threw the half–eaten pastry onto
the plate.
“W–would you like another piece?” Wanda asked hesitantly. After putting so much effort into making
them, it was a shame to see them go to waste.
“I’m done.” Christina stood up.
Wanda’s eyes flashed with disappointment. She had put so much effort into making each pastry.
“In fact, Miss, I’ve met Mr. Channing’s son. He looks good and has a pleasant personality. If you two
can
get along, it would be…”
Shut up!
Christina impatiently interrupted Wanda.
After a few moments of silence, Wanda sald, “I know what you’re thinking, but Madam won’t allow it.
Wanda had tested the waters with Rebecca before. She knew Christina’s feelings were meant to stay
private, which could lead to chaos if Rebecca found out.
It might even jeopardize what Christina currently possessed.
Christina shot Wanda a warning look.
“Have you known all along?”
“I’ve watched you grow up. How could I not know the pain in your heart?”
Wanda’s words softened Christina’s heart a bit.
She hadn’t expected others to see through it, while the one who considered herself like a mother
remained oblivious.
“Madam has always valued social status and family background. Moreover, the Johnson family is a
prominent one, and she prioritizes the family’s interests over everything else,” Wanda continued.
“Although she raised you, she…” Wanda trailed off.
Christina glared at her fiercely. “Go on!”
“Madam doesn’t think highly of you.”
Christina’s already unpleasant expression darkened further, and there was a mocking smile on her lips.
Though Wanda’s words were harsh, Christina knew they were the truth.
Rebecca looked down on her.
The comparison between Natalie and herself was evident. Natalie had the support of such an influential
uncle, making her internationally renowned.
It made Christina feel inferior.
She wanted to see how Rebecca would feel when she watched her son crush the one she desired so
much.
Christina’s eyes brimmed with hatred for Rebecca.
Miss, she’s trying to find you a good match, okay?” Wanda said.
Hall A good match, huh?
In Wanda’s view, Rebecca wasn’t focused only on the benefits an arranged marriage would bring to the
Johnson family. That was already the utmost goodwill Rebecca could extend to Natalie.
What kind of person was Rebecca?
Wands had been by her side for many years, and she knew her better than anyone.
“I got it. Thanks for the reminder,” Christina replied with a smile that belied her sharpness.
While the Johnson family faced internal turmoil, Verde City experienced a significant event that caused
fluctuations in public opinion regarding Natalie.
At one minute, she would be associated with the Johnson family; the next, she was with Irwin.
Even if Natalie’s personal conduct was not in question, those observing from the outside couldn’t help
but view her with a biased perspective.
The moments she spent with Irwin in the restaurant were captured from different angles and circulated
online.
She had become a hot topic, and this latest development pushed her to the center of public scrutiny.
“Find out who leaked this and shut them down!” Natalie ordered Zane.
Zane nodded.
Natalie thought for a moment and added, “If it’s an individual account, trace that person and file a
lawsuit against them!”
